In fact if it wasn't for injuries/international call ups, its doubtful he would have been given a chance.
He's probably be out on loan again.

Agree Scott seems to be getting a lot of negative stick because he's been "released" (ran his contract down) from Chelsea and is a free. By all accounts he has been trying to get out of Chelsea for a few seasons now in search of first team football which for me is a ballsy move for a young lad. A bit like Joel In Toon I'll be reserving judgement on him until I've seen him play a few games but fully with Bandi on this one (even though we may disagree on turning up to support the team ) no one could have seen Longstaff's progression last year (possibly his brothers this year as well) and the kid might surprise a few.

Give's depth to the squad and will be hungry to impress when he does get a chance so let's give the boy a chance!

If we get rid of a rb then we'll need to get another one in.

 

Lazaar, Colback, Atsu, Murphy, Saivet, Elliot should all be punted for me. Manquillo too if we sign a right back. If we can add another winger/forward to replace Murphy, say like Ronnie, then all the better. If we get stuck with Murphy for another year, we best get ready to write off 12m because that lad will never make a PL footballer. I wanted to give him a chance but there is nothing but pace to work with. He doesn't even strike/kick the ball properly, and there doesn't appear to be any kind of football brain. We need to get shot while we still might get a couple of million for him.

Well there is no point swapping one **** player for another. Supposedly strong interest in Murphy from 4 championship clubs with Sheff Wed the keenest.

I'm still hoping our hat is in the ring for Danny Welbeck. I think he'd be a really good forward option for us because of his versatility. Obviously he wouldn't really want to watch Joelinton but realistically he must know his injury record means he can't be signed as the main striker.

There must be better winger out there than bloody Ibe or Murphy.
