This HAS to be a wum!

Weirdly enough, they were linked with Mandzukic at roughly the same time they were looking at Dybala. So ageing, tall battering ram striker is apparently somewhere on Ole's shopping list.

But to be honest after the way this window has gone nothing can surprise me. We could launch a bid to swap Alli for Charlie Adam and I wouldn't blink.

Mate. I'd be very surprised if Levy would sanction any move to Manchester United after Berbatov. I don't think he'd risk it. Maybe after we win the league. <laugh>

Not seen any discussion on this.
If the unexpected happens and we sign all the players we are meant to be, according to all the ITK's, how will this affect our CL overseas player quota?

Essentially Llorente’s spot has gone to Ndombele.

Vorm’s spot is still free. Wanyama’s spot should he go will also be available. Whilst Foyth, thanks to a loophole, can now go on our B list instead of using a squad place.

Good question, I've never quite understood how many spots we had in the first place and how the number of homegrown players we have effects the quota.

That's not what they were saying 15 minutes ago.

Quite understandably there is talk that we are pushing hard for Juve to accept him as part of the Dybala deal, even at a significantly reduced value. I guess it all depends on whether their Club President and Benevolent Leader Cristiano Ronaldo gives the go ahead.

Club grown: Kane, Winks, Rose, Walker-Peters.
Homegrown: Alli, Davies (PL not CL).
Neither: Lloris, Gazzaniga, Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Wanyama, Dier, Sissoko, Ndombele, Eriksen, Lamela, Moura, N'Koudou, Son.
U21: Foyth, Carter-Vickers, Onomah.

That leaves us two homegrown spaces to fill and two "neither", before any departures.
It seems likely that our trialist goalkeeper will fill one of the former: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Smith_(footballer,_born_1996)

I’d say the easiest way to look at it is you can only have a maximum of 17 registered senior foreign players in a 25 man squad. The rest of the spots are to be filled with HG players but in the CL, 4 of those 8 must also be CG. You don’t have to fill the exact quota of HG/CG players but you just can’t register a foreign player in their place.

Tbh you might as well not bother giving wanyama a spot even if he doesnt go
