Good Morning. It's Wednesday 7th August, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines Pearce off to Oakwell Tom Pearce looks set to become Leeds 25th permanent outgoing transfer this Summer ending his 5 year relationship at Elland Road. The U21 England has been out in the cold since Bielsa arrived. Douglas, Alioski and even young Leif Davis have had minutes under their belt in the left back position whilst Pearce has been unable to even find a place on the bench. It's looking increasingly likely that the lad from Ormskirk will be teaming up with Mowatt, Wilks and Halme at Oakwell Park. A fee of £750,000 is reported to be tabled by the Tykes. This stil leaves Buoy, Anita, O'Kane, Cibicki and Shaughnessy. Will Leeds be able to clear all 30 by 5pm tomorrow evening? The clock is ticking! please log in to view this image Can Orta influence Gunners boss? Victor Orta has been using his friendship with Arsenal Manager Unai Emery to try and influence the transfer of England U21 forward Eddie Nketiah. The two Spaniards worked together in 2006 when Orta was part of their technical and recruitment staff. In a dramatic switch of attention from the likes of Ryan Nolan, Facundo Colidio and Ryan Kent, yesterday became all about Nketiah. The talented 20yo from Lewisham certainly has an eye for goal. He has represented England at U18,19,20 and 21 level scoring 21 goals in 25 appearances. A host of clubs are looking to secure his signature including Bristol City who have the Gooner as their number one target! Have Leeds left it too late for Nketiah? Is Kent still Leeds prefered target? Will the Inter pair of Calidio and Nolan come to ER, and if so, will they be a major part of the first team plans? What about a keeper? please log in to view this image Nice gesture Any Leeds United supporter who has purchased a 2019/20 replica shirt with ‘Roofe 7’ on the back will be entitled to exchange their shirt for free. (Exchanges are made in store after 20th August when all sizes will be available). I don't know whether this would extend to Jansson. I've got an old shirt somewhere with Baird on it!!! Hmmmm, I wonder..... please log in to view this image
Good Morning to Matt and co from a wet Bardsey Well with less than 33 hours to deadline we again find ourselves chasing out tails and as usual we will more than likely do NOTHING We need back up Keeper back up CB and a back up striker Kent has been mentioned a lot but we seem to be sellers not buyers and you mention there are still players to offload but as the European door does not close until the end of the month we still have time to get rid The 2 lads from Italy surely they would be on their way now I wait for Docs ever reliable to report Why don't we all copy the Europeans and gave Sept I as the closing date? I am sorry it hasn.t worked out for Pearcehe looked really promising and I am sure we turned down a bid from Saints last year Roofe to many injuries for me still £7m is not to be scoffed at
Morning all I will be on intermittently over the next few days as stuff to do, but will catch up with any updating of the tranny sticky no later than Sunday, unless I'm around when it happens. It's all but done now anyway as Pearce was the last piece I updated last night, leaving only 5 left to leave. £33.5m brought in does seem a lot but as we know VAT, agents fees etc etc as well as staged payments to marry up with book values of these players....... One disappointment through this window is the sheer greed of Danny Rose. This is the man who could have moved back in January, but still at Spurs knocking back top moves because the wages are not high enough for him???? Come on Dan move we want our 10% So Ryan Kent, Arsenal kid, Colidio, Nolan, keeper - 5 players and one day to go. Will any happen. We do know that Bielsa prefers Kent to the Arsenal kid but he's a close 2nd choice as he really rates him. Colidio will be expensive for a kid but that's what happens with top talent these days. Colidio would also need time to get Bielsaball in the U23s. Nolan will be a top CB but a spell in the 23s too for him
Fast Eddie has the decision to make this morning. He has had 20 clubs chasing him from home and abroad but hearing its between a German club, Bristol City and Leeds Utd. For me a no-brainer as coming to Leeds you get to learn from a maestro unless you want to learn nothing except bluster at Bristol.....
Morning all... I think if we’re waiting to see if we get Nketiah on loan, it would mean cash to spend elsewhere. Reading between the lines the Kent transfer has the James fiasco written all over it again. Liverpool want around £10m we want to pay less with a host of clauses or loan and buy later. I’ve been a big supporter of Rads, if he screws this last few hours up he can bugger off.
Sad to see him go because he has done fantastic with the kids. Wonder where he goes next and what plans we have to replace him?
Ilan_Meslier on season long loan. Very highly rated French keeper. Capped at u18 and U19 level. Meslier is 6ft 7. He's 19yo. He comes from Lorient. I hope he's worth it. (I'll get my coat) please log in to view this image
The roof, the roof, the roof was on fire The roof, the roof, the roof was on fire The roof, the roof, the roof was on fire We don't need him let the motherfucker burn Burn motherfucker burn Having said that I wish him all the best .
After watching this I'm a bit concerned that he seems to just parry a lot of shots in front of him. Championship strikers will love it.
