OS as for the enigmatic Tomlin, I stand by my view he would be a decent player off the bench and a starter in games against suitable opponents where City would be expected to be more attacking and open.

But I can’t see Warnock going for it unless he can’t get anyone else better in.

I’d be surprised if anyone wanted Madine or Tomlin unless City agree to pay most if not all their wages; what would be the point of them going then?

I see a trend here. We sign Curtis Nelson, ex Plymouth and Oxford. Then we sign Whyte from Oxford and my research tells me Nelson played with Vassell at Plymouth. Is Nelson an agent by any chance?

 

Surely we can’t have a season of our central midfield being just Ralls, Bacuna & Vaulks?

That’s an average a selection for the division; at least 2 more need to come in or 1 if Tomlin is going to play a part.

Saying that, it can stay quiet on the Vsssel front for me, but bussier on the sell front. You can keep the Va.

Birmingham have signed Alvaro Gimenez from Almeria for 1.5m euros. According to the Birmingham live website Vassell is on his way to us: -

Isaac Vassell is on his way out of Birmingham City and it set to join Cardiff, according to reports.


The striker has been attracting interest all summer from the likes of former club Luton Town and Swansea City - but it's Neil Warnock's Bluebirds who have reportedly won the race to sign him.


According to The Sun , Championship big boys Cardiff have stumped up more money than others to land the 25-year-old.


The striker has endured an injury-plagued Blues career since signing back in 2017. He's scored just one goal and made just six starts in a Blues shirt after a horrific anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained just weeks after penning a four-year deal at St Andrew's.


It looks like he'll head to south Wales following Blues' capture of Spanish striker Alvaro Gimenez .
