Sky reporting a £64m deal has been agreed with Juve for Dybala. That is an absolute steal in the current market. Please, if there is anyone out there listening. Please. Let not the wages be a stumbling block in our path, amen. P.S: I'm pointing this out now, but if we do somehow end up with Dybala and Coutinho, both players are joining us primarily because of their admiration for Poch. Both players could command far higher wages elsewhere. Both players could stay where they are - at bigger clubs than ours. But such is his gravitas that this discussion isn't a total figment of our imagination. The man deserves a statue.
You just know the next 48 hours are going to be extremely bitter sweet if we do sign/sell anyone. Speaking of which... just had a new neighbour move in next door and found out the man of the house is a Chelsea fan. Boo!! Then he proceeds to tell me he’s mates with Harry Kane’s cousin, is off to WHL this weekend to see the Villa game with box seats and can get me tickets for upcoming fixtures!!! Never liked Chelsea fans but I guess I’ll have to make an exception!
Newcastle supposedly monitoring Onomah according to Lilywhite Rose (who has great insight and connections with regards to our youth). This shouldn’t impact the Sess deal though as everywhere is reporting that Josh is/ was a separate deal.
It will be. No way Dybala is an option without a deal in place to move Eriksen on. And if that is United, so be it. Dybala is the marquee, A-list signing we've been craving for so many years. I can't see us getting both him and Coutinho to be honest unless the latter includes a reasonably priced to-buy option. Eriksen out, Dybala and Sessegnon in would be ok by me. Just.
That’s so Spurs though Sign a good player to replace a great player, need to be adding players rather than replacing.
As president Obama said at his inauguration....and the words are very fitting to our situation today.... "FFS just sign the S.O.B ... any S.O.B will do...just get it don't you goddam mofo"
I'm ok with it as Dybala is genuinely A-list. He isn't much older than Lo Celso/Fernandes but is clearly of a higher caliber than them. My concern is that he plays in a much more advanced role than Eriksen and although he has a very solid amount of assists to his name (37 in 189 Serie A games), that's not even close to Eriksen's record (1 in 3 games rather than 1 in 5 games). We'd be missing the creative spark still. So it would be lovely to bring in another player - Lo Celso or Coutinho - to address that imbalance, but my gut feeling is we'll need to shift more players out (Rose, GKN, Wanyama, Toby etc.) to make that happen.
Sky keep posting crap about Rooney to Derby in January. **** off. No one gives a toss. Tell us more about Dybala, Coutinho, Sessegnon, Fernandes, Lo Celso and Ryan Babel kotdammit!
So we can pay E70m odd for Dybala, but cannot get Lo Celso done !!?? WTF WUM hell am I living in !!??
