Gomez will do a good job at the back and make the effort going forward but he lacks the delivery. TAA will start IMO another bad game and he may find himself benched. I'm not concerned transfer wise Clyne would have been sold anyway and Gomez is good cover, same at LB Milner and the Dutch kid is fine.
Gomez with Trent at RB. Matip will feel hard done by, but Gomez is young and is growing into a great CB
I reckon Norwich are in for a hiding on Friday, we looked very good in the 2nd half of the charity cup and although TAA looked off the pace I wouldn't worry too much unless that goes into Fridays game. Hopefully we can get a few early goals and get Brewster and some of the other young lads on in the 2nd half for a good amount of minutes.
I hope that Klopp and the team don’t take Norwich so lightly. They’re a decent footballing team, I can see them scoring given our current form.
We’ve had a poor pre season, let’s not wrap it up anyway. There are valid reasons for it....but it’s still poor form.
Meh - it bears no relation to the serious stuff about to begin, as far as I'm concerned. I'm in two minds about the lack of transfer activity, but not at all bothered by pre-season games.
How many of those players will start the season though? Mig has gone, the young LB won’t play. Lovren won’t be starting. Kent Wilson Brewster aren’t starting ore season doesn’t mean much anyway, sure be nice to win but they say you learn more from defeats than winning so sure klopp has picked up on a few things
I'm with others; we don't have good or bad form going into this, we don't have any form at all. Pre-season counts as much as training does.
