It’s not a game you’d expect to get anything from, so therefore it’s a free roll of the dice. The issue I suppose, is that a big defeat in the opener could damage confidence.
I suspect if we lose 4-3 or (dare i say nick a point or 3) we'll hear more about the shortcomings of Liverpool than the positives about our team.
I'm not convinced that it will as there is such a MASSIVE bond between the players that we will bounce back by the time we play Newcastle!!
My worry is if we lose heavily the media and some supporters will be too negative, but I'm hoping we don't show too much respect to Liverpool and play our style of football.
We had a pretty **** team last time we were in the PL and still nearly beat Liverpool 3-1 up and lost 5-4 . I fancy 3-2 either way .
Well this is the chance for Trybull, Hanley and Godfrey to stake their claims. I wonder whether Amadou will be on the bench to cover those depleted positions. Let's get the topics right guys! OTBC!

Liverpool might not field their strongest squad as I understand that they are chasing 7 trophies. First game in the PL calendar 2019/20 and one which pitches us straight in with one of the big boys. A draw would be remarkable, but as this team seems to exhibit a strong team spirit then miracles might happen.
So Klose and Zimmermann are out leaving Godfrey and Hanley. Lewis didn't look great at CB and Hanley to be fair played and captained nearly all the friendlies . Klose also made a massive balls up against Atalanta which killed the game for us. Let's hope GH has the game of his life tomorrow.
Just a shame he hasn't got his whole squad to choose from, I would feel a lot better if Zimmermann was fit to play, he was outstanding last season.
