So the general argument is which is the most stupid country for gun / homicide / knife crime etc, arguing statistics whilst people die...
Fair enough Either way I was aware there was a relatively low figure involved in comparisons to El Paso etc
How many of those other country’s murders are mass killings carried out by mixed up kids & right wing maniacs walking into public places & specifically targeting children, homosexuals, Latin Americans or Afro Americans? That’s the problem the US has that needs to be sorted & is worse than any other Country. Their ignorant ideals regarding gun ownership & a psychotic President who encourages racial hatred & violence is a lethal combination.
There is no solution, there are solutions e.g. to reduce homicide (post dunblane etc) national suicide prevention strategy etc some of the knife reduction strategies on Scotland, nothing stops just reduces, arguing statistics is playing politics and I thought that was frowned on . And your solution is?
I've lived in two of those countries (not the USA), and I only saw one dead body that had been shot (drugs related "hit").
The Second Amendment was probably the most ill thought out "right" ever conceived that has never been revoked. Lot of daft bastards voting over there (down there in my case). Took English Law to a ridiculous extreme.
We have a serious problem here and until we actually give real hard time to those who carry knifes it will just get worse! Anyone cought carrying a knife should get a automatic 10year spell inside. **** all this human rights of the criminal bollox. We as a society have gotten to soft from top to bottom
I'm doing this from memory: Dunblane mid 90s, Hungerford late 80s, Cumbria 2010ish, 3 mass murders using firearms, two of which resulted in the tightening of gun laws if I remember. Nutters with guns in the UK, that's it in my lifetime. Political and religious terrorism aside, that's it. Compare with one a day in the USA. What more is there to say?
It was improving though due to laws in place to at least rule out some at risk people from buying guns Trump repealed that law
