That is the number of deaths in mass shootings not the number of mass shootings. Your post read as though you were saying there was more than one mass shooting every day. Of course one single death is a tragedy.

Yes. A mass shooting is defined as 3 or more in the same incident.

Yes. Going by the definition of a mass shooting is 3 or more in one incident then there has.

Over 33k shooting incidents with over 26k dead or injured in 217 days. Pushing 250 mass shootings of 4 or more people.

They have a problem worse than any other Country. It needs to be sorted, there is no justification not to.

Yes, they altered it. “ There is no fixed definition of a mass shooting in the United States.[4] The Investigative Assistance for Violent Crimes Act of 2012, signed into law in January 2013, defines a "mass killing" as one resulting in at least 3 victims, excluding the perpetrator.[16][4][17][18] In 2015, the Congressional Research Service defined a mass shooting — for the purposes of its report entitled “Mass Murder with Firearms” — as "a multiple homicide incident in which four or more victims are murdered with firearms, within one event, and in one or more locations in close proximity".[19] A broader definition, as used by the Gun Violence Archive, is that of "4 or more shot or killed, not including the shooter".[20] This definition, of four people shot regardless of whether or not that results in injury or death, is often used by the press and non-profit organizations”.

They don’t have a worse problem than many other countries. The number per 100,000 is way lower than many countries. Of the 33,000 gun deaths last year 21,000 were suicides. There are many countries where the odds on being shot are far greater than the USA..

Not many countries, nine in fact.

    Honduras
    Venezuela
    El Salvador
    Eswatini
    Guatemala
    Jamaica
    Brazil
    Colombia
    Panama
    USA

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate

Also that list shows that there are 120 guns for every 100 inhabitants of the USA! Gun problem? What gun problem?

That list has to be wrong. It's got zero for the Channel Islands. Didn't they watch Bergerac?

Being serious though. Greenland scores the same as the US, but they 'only' had 3 gun deaths.

Yes, but twice as many gun deaths in the USA are through suicide rather than murder.

However the USA is way down the list of murders per 100,000 as per this list. So less guns don't necessarily equate to less murders.
