I have to agree with you Syd. I just can't snap out of my depressed state at the way things are going at the moment. Coming on here just reminds me of the whole sorry mess. I go on facebook and find much of the same.....
Syd, I don't post that much on here due to work and family commitments meaning by the time I read something folk who know more than me have already said what I would like to think I would have thought of, if that makes sense. I do read the boards a bit though and think you devote a lot of time, humour and diplomacy to keeping things running smoothly on here. Also wish good threads weren't always boiled down to the same stuff but can't complain much given my lack of input. Hear where you're coming from and hope you don't give up as you're integral to the board and I enjoy your banter. Folk can't stay miserable for ever eh?!
I completely agree, I've almost stopped posting as all of the threads seem to be Bruce Out/Gyan's a ****/the club's completely doomed
I find that most of the posts end up with fellow supporters having a pop at each other and not really discussing the points raised. Also the poor performances don't help. I think the club needs to be more transparent with the fans as speculation is causing more problems amongst us. However as long as SAFC exists I will support the club the players and manager. Short is a shrewd business man and will ensure that the club is run prudently. I trust that he and Quinn have the best interests of the club at heart. Syd keep the faith with both the club and this board. 
I don't mind fans coming on here and criticising players and manager when things go wrong. The thing that boils my piss though, is when so called "fans" start personally abusing the players and management of Sunderland Football Club. This, in my book, is bang out of order and, quite frankly, embarrassing.
What mess? And just for the record. Just because you happen to agree with Cest dose not make him right. If the people with actual power and inside Football knowledge agreed with you Bruce would be gone. He's not. Your wrong. Move on. p.s. Please define "mess"
Sorry CM but this is exactly it, Cest is right for Cest, its his opinion and like you I dont agree with it all. I have no problem at all with opinions but reading through the posts covers it for me, its a mix. Threads turning into fights with the same things over and over again. Insults of fans, the club, players and manager for effect brcuase they add nothing to the argument. Balance on the board, every thread does not need to become a figt about Bruce. I have siad many times its the fans board, not mine and its the fans who decide the content. I'm just pointing out that IMO and thats all it is my opinion, it's off putting to many fans.
mess = one home win in nine months. Alternatively : the state of affairs which has led to the depression syd spoke about. I don't expect or demand that everyone agrees - there is no right and wrong. But, to me, one home win in nine months is a mess. If you're finding it enjoyable, however, good for you.
Syd I understand your frustrations over this board lately, when people say we are in a "mess" though. I just don't see it. We keep hearing about this 9 months thing. Yeah it sounds shocking. It really does. Then you consider; We won three of our last five games last season, we had the sixth best away form in the league, we finished tenth. All achieved with the worst injury list in memory doesn't strike me as a club in a mess This season; everyone was raving about the new signings just 4 games ago, (is four games honestly enough?) we have played 2 of the Sky four and only lost once, we played a newly promoted team away and drew. A tough start in anybody's book. That leaves what I believe to be the root of all the discontent. The Newcastle game! and the fact that Bruce once supported them.
Me too, far too often every thread gets the same posters interrogating (with attitude )anyone who doesn't toe the Bruce line. Even happened on here.
Well by excluding it from your remarks, I would suggest you were certainly implying that it was the case...
