What I fail to understand is why didn't we have a fixed price in place at the end of the season for White anyone can see he will be a great CB now they will want £20m or more for him!

    Morning all.

    Great start to the season.

Kiko scares me. I have not rated him since day one and have still seem nothing to change my opinion.
Takes too many risks. The saves he has made are only ordinary which I would expect any decent keeper to make.
Some of the goals he has let in, without mentioning the cock ups, I would be expecting him to save. Could have done better with the goal yesterday.

Ben White was a revelation. If he keeps that up be could become a club keep. Exactly what Bielsa wants in a player, so comfortable in the ball.

Forshaw was excellent yesterday and I would almost say deserved a goal. What a nice problem he gives us playing like that, who do we drop out of the middle three?

So pleased to see Bamford get a goal. Took it well. Played well even if he did trip over the ball at one point.
Brilliant from the fans to chant his name regularly through the game.

All in all a great start and can't wait for Saturday

Bielsa instructs Kiko not only to control his box but to play as a last ditch defender more or less controlling a third of the pitch, Casilla is Marcelo's type of keeper, someone who anticipates the danger & deals with it not a keeper that stands his ground & waits for inevitable next move.

I don't know what it looked like from the telly but I was perfectly calm from the terraces. Thought Kiko was superb

I believe Brighton wouldn't agree to it, they rate him too highly. But you're right, his value will go up massively if he carries on as he did yesterday.

What a subs bench, especially with having 3 or 4 first teamers out...

Agree. Mr Johnson said yesterday that XI would win the league. Add in the injured players and hopefully 2x players coming in this week, we look to have decent depth.

Was surprised to learn that he didnt have much of a break and spent time back at man City with their psychologist learning how to deal with expectation. Apparently he wanted to play great but when he tried hard to do it he got worse and tired quickly. He now seems to have sorted it and just does what hes good at and the fans love him. He also spent time talking to Lampard as it was he was Harrison's mentor in the MLS

He looked sh*t on the telly, since you asked<laugh>

Genuinely - that was the view of the defender and keeper commentating too.

We get that bielsa likes sweeper keepers, likewise BPF was a footballing keeper... Kiko has all the physical attributes... but as yet, lacks judgement. Needs to sharpen up.

I’ve no beef with him trying stuff... and mistakes are inevitable with the way we play, just want to see a better success rate.

Looking like Ryan Nolan and Facundo Collidio are about to sign for Leeds Utd from Inter Milan. Very well thought of these two boys. Collidio an Argentine from Boca Juniors and taken to Milan and been on Bielsa's radar a couple of years

Newcastle United look set to miss out on Inter Milan centre-forward Facundo Colidio, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Sky Sports Italy journalist claims via his personal website that Leeds United have stolen a march on Newcastle in the chase to sign the 19-year-old and could even wrap up the deal to sign him today (Monday).

It is understood that Leeds are still negotiating the transfer with Inter Milan but it seems as though the two clubs are on the verge of an agreement with one another.
