Betis trying to do a WBA-Berahino without realising that if we can’t sign/ don’t wanna pay OTT for GLC we’ll just move for Bruno. Dangerous game for them. Despite selling Firpo they still need funds to help rebuild their team and GLC is the only one who can bring in a considerable amount. If they price him too high then they won’t be rebuilding.
I can’t see either Atleti or. Napoli being interested at the reported €100 mill asking price. Atleti have already spent a fortune and Napoli won’t pay it.
rcl : what is it ?? Kryten : it's another summer transfer window failure. rcl : no, try again. Kryten : it's another summer transfer window failure. rcl : again. Kryten: it's another .... mega window with contract renewals + NEW AMs. I can do it !!! rcl : See this picture of the bald-headed fellow ?? What do we say to him ?? Kryten : He's a meeeg. He's a meeeeeeeg. rcl : again. Kryten: He's a meeeeeeeeeeeee nother summer transfer window failure.
Apparently Marseille are keen on Sessegnon now, too. I swear these reports are perfectly timed/published to target us fans when we’re most vulnerable/pissy with Levy. Quite clever really.
Even more so I guess if directors need to get their story straight for when an anticipated PR sh*t storm bursts on their business.
Some fans will still be sticking up for Levy and comparing to the dire 90s and saying how ungrateful the rest of us are for moaning.
The conversation between Lister and the cat about whether they'd sleep with Wima Flintstone in Backwards is one of my favourite scenes...it ends with them saying it's crazy to discuss sleeping with wilma ... cos she'll never leave Fred
For me, this window isn't even about whether we should stick up for or protest against Levy. I think it's about revealing whether ENIC's project (not the Poch one) has reached its inevitable conclusion and whether they should seriously consider selling the club. • debts eradicated* • youth development system installed • new training facilities built • new stadium built • strategic partnerships in place • regular Champions league football achieved • lucrative sponsorship deals in place • share value significantly increased Seriously, what's left to do if they don't intend on investing in the team and giving arguably our best manager/coach in the past 30 years the backing he deserves? I'll wait until Thursday evening to give my full and considered opinion on this transfer window and the current situation the club is in, but at present, I am wholeheartedly unimpressed with this summer's activity. * Not including stadium loan for which finances are said to have been ringfenced and catered for
If it is true that Lo Celso’s representatives have agreed terms with us and Betis do not sell him to us, they risk having a very pissed off player on their hands. There will be one less club in the auction and they may still not get the amount that they looking for. As Atletico have already spent a lot of money, they will not push it too high.
London NFL franchise ?? [ Uncle Joe ] Full sweating of ST/\DIUM (other sports, music etc) ?? [ Uncle Joe ] If I could buy out Uncle Joe, but keep Levy in THFC with his ENIC shareholding transferred "in kind" , I would do it. Uncle Joe has about as much emotional attachment to Spurs as Kroenke does to the Goons.
Levy’s reputation is good and bad for the club I think. When selling then no1 wants to deal with him, but I think it also makes it a lot harder to sign players.
Reading some of the rumours I have put two and two together and come up with a reason why the deals are taking so long.....the new stadium loans probably have convenants on the club paying out cash. That would have been planned for but if Betis or Fulham want more than the usual cash up front then that would create a need to go back to the lenders for permission. This shouldn't be a long term issue as the loans can be refinanced with less restrictive terms. I am still gobsmacked that anyone still thinks that ENIC are a bad owner or don't invest in the team. As far as I can see they have spent every penny they are allowed at least until last season. We've broken our transfer record three times for Poch.
