Watching Man Utd v Benfica, think the commentator said he's scored in the last 22 seasons at the highest level? Unbelieveable that, don't care about the off-field antics!

agreed, did a thread on him a while back, asking if he should be talked about as an all time great of the game, got to be for me, doing it at that level for so long.

Brilliant goal tonight, though I still can't understand why Fergie is playing a B team in the group stages of the Champions League.

Haha we all like Imogen!! Agree with DJ one of the best footballers of all time in my opinion, I remember when he got that goal v Arsenal in the Fa Cup semi in 1999, was playing a five a side and saw it in the bar after, awe inspiring that goal!

Agree with OLM arrogance with the team selection

must have chelsea in mind..i was saying the other day, nobody is talking about chelsea while they quietly plod on with there business letting the manchester clubs take the headlines, fergie obviously sees them as a big threat still..

    You've changed. <laugh>

Classy goal tonight, though ITV's commentators do my head in so I swapped it for Pro Evo at half time.

Probably is an all time great, though doesn't get the recognition he deserves because he's Welsh. Probably.

Starting a CL game with a midfield that includes Park, Carrick and Fletcher is a dangerous game, Young, Cleverley and Anderson are in a different class, they can carry one of them, but not all three.

Still, an away point should be enough.

I doubt we'll see anyone stay at the same club as long and achieve as much at the same club as Giggs has again. I'm sure he'll be considered alongside the likes of Shearer, Scholes, Beckham, Gerrard, Rooney, Lampard etc as one of the greats of this era now and in the future. Part of an all time greats Man United team too?

Top dollar Giggs, a real gem of the game and given us many hours of footy pleasure over the years.

    Superb finish tonight as well.

Regardless of his off the field antics, Ryan Giggs has always been a very talented player... the only real issue I have with him is that goal against Arsenal where he took his shirt off, I never want to see that again

agreed, Giggs has been a model professional and great asset to the game for these past 22 years. it is a shame that he didn't get to play in the world cup finals. one of the best never to do that alongside George Best.

Pro Evo, though it is slightly frustrating not having City on it any more.
