Ndombele, Clarke and Etete I think, albeit the latter isn’t really one to consider.

Saying that, in a few days we’ll be saying Ndombele, Clarke, Etete, Sess, GLC (or Bruno) and Hyseij so all is good :)

No I can't see it happening and I wouldn't want him for another year like he's doing us a favour...sign a long contract or sell asap

We know Levy loves a last minute deal.

If Sessegnon happens, it will be final hour stuff. He is injured and can't come straight in to the team straight away anyway. I imagine Levy won't want to pay superfluous wages solely for his recovery. I think his injury status always rendered this deal last minute.

Lo Celso is a CM more than an AM. I reckon Wanyama going has a bigger impact on this deal incoming as that is the squad position he is replacing.

Likewise I think Fernandes is Eriksen dependent to a degree. Eriksen could go to a European club after our window closes so Fernandes becomes an important signing either way.

Those are the three deals that I'd be disappointed with not striking.

Other than that new RB would be great, but I also think KWP should have a real run. Unless we go for Atal, which I don't see happening.

On this issue not really sure that Levy is to blame.

The player has all the power, we offered Eriksen a very good new contract, but we cannot force him to sign it.

The club have made it clear that he can move on and the player has made it clear that this is his preferred option too. I am sure his agent has been hawking his player around his clients small list of acceptable destinations, but if the media are to be believed there has been no interest, and equally just as we can't force Eriksen to stay we also can't force other clubs to buy him for a fee when he could available for nothing next year

    Bit embarrassing really.

He’s dropped his knickers for Real and they seemingly don’t want to know.

    I agree with you.

With inside knowledge accessible to the decision makers though...they should know what Eriksen intends and if he wants to go...then put a price on him and make it public.

I can't see Eriksen signing a very convenient 2 year contract. That means the club will dictate his price. No club came in offering any 'last year of contract' prices...do you think they will want him if the price goes up? I don't...I think he signs a 4/5 year deal or we sell asap.

I got a feeling they’ll come back for him with a low low offer towards the end of the window

I think if he is to sign a new one it’d include a release clause to foreign clubs. I’d like to think we won’t have one for domestic teams but if we can tie him down to another year or two and know we won’t lose him for peanuts, it’s a perfect scenario for me... well nearly perfect, perfect would be him signing a 5 year deal with no release clause.

When I have 99% of a window with clear glass, and %1 boarded over,
I think I can see nearly everything of what is on the other side.

Are you are telling me I need to wait for 4 days to wait for that final 1%
to be unboarded before I can say that things generally are good/bad outside ??

Completely disagree...Liverpool are clear second favourites... no one is calling them money grabbing or tight and no one is claiming they are hanging klopp out to dry and there are no back Klopp hashtags flying around.

To call this a horror show is a serious over reaction imo

Yep, particularly with Levy who lives and dies with last minute deals.

My point though is...he's available for peanuts now(relatively speaking) but there's no qeues for him. That fee will go up if he signs a contract...then the suitors will appear?

Feels like clubs see him as a luxury and not a must buy to build their team around.

4 days left!! It isn’t happening. We’ve been here so many times before.

Unless Levy’s been an absolute snake and he’s got a top secret double reveal planned for half time today <laugh>

They do not see him as "galactico" , and therefore are not prepared to
pay galactico transfer fees for him nor sign him now.

No doubt Madrid have told his agent that if he wants to go there, he will
have to engineer an environment that means he comes cheaply before the
summer, or on a free next season.

I don’t think there are queues because Levy is still so reluctant to let him leave and is asking for an insane price despite just 12 months left to run. Whilst most of us think £70m would be acceptable, there are certain rumours suggesting Levy wants £120m+! If say he were to sign a new 2-3 year deal, then I wouldn’t have a major problem if that deal includes say something like a £50m-£60m release clause to foreign sides come the start of the 20/21 window.

I also think his biggest problem with Madrid is that a) he’s not an egotistical **** that suits their usual profile and b) Zidane is hellbent on getting Pogba. There was a poll run at the start of the window and the fans (and supposedly Perez too) want Eriksen over Pogba.

If NEW AM is not signed, and Eriksen has not renewed terms by the time
all Euro transfer windows close, then if I was Pochettino I would tell Levy I
am leaving at the end of the season.

Transfer windows are too long. When one works out the Capex budget on a mine, if one begins in August, people spend 4 months arguing then sort everything out in the last 3 or 4 days. If one starts on December 15th, and say all Christmas leave is cancelled until a budget is agreed, it only takes 3 or 4 days. The process expands to fill the time available.

Yep. But so many fans are in denial about it, still dining off the VDV miracle of 9 years ago.

No chance we're bringing in more than one player with so little time remaining.

Sessegnon would be the cheapest option but if Rose is staying I can't see Poch or Levy viewing him as a priority given we can get him on a free next summer.

One of Lo Celso or Fernandes looks to be the basket we've put all of our eggs in. Trying to play each club off each other in the hope that they panic and lower their asking price. It's a massive, massive gamble and as you've said Roo we've been here so many times before and it hasn't paid off.

Vdv wasn’t our last deadline day signing though, albeit he was probably our best.

Hugo and Dempsey joined in one.
    Aurier and Llorente in another.

Whilst we signed Eriksen, Lamela and Chriches about a day or two before another deadline.

We do have previous for late deals. It can be nerve-racking and sometimes ends in disappointment but as I said to Roo the other day, I’m certain we’ll sign Sess and one of GLC/ Bruno by deadline day.
