Anyone care to try and predict which day will be St Torringham's day this year?

I'll go for April 14th after we beat Wigan :emoticon-0109-kiss:

Sometime in March, I think. Tottenham are going to crash and burn this year. We will too, although to a much lesser extent.

Middle of april is my humble prediction, which is based on absolutely nothing.

  6. I predict that we will be at least 6 points clear of you, come Christmas.

Bookmark my comment, if you wish.

I say that not out of any degree of wummery, but out of sheer honesty, and based upon a reasonable assessment of the relative strengths of our two sides. Plus, I don't see how any neutral pundit can do anything other than conclude that you are going to have a torrid season, having lost so many good players, not just Fab and Naz.

Even I cringed when I saw that.

I don't know any Spurs fans that refer to Fabregas and Nasri as Fab & Naz.

  9. Okay, okay! I knew it was a mistake as soon as I hit the RETURN button on my keyboard. But it's out there now, there's no going back. I know that.

But, really. Do I deserve an insult? Isn't this supposed to be a board for debating football opinions? Or did I get that wrong, and that what we're really supposed to do is write only things that we all know others are going to agree with?

Yes, you did. Fab and Naz??? I would have to call a fellow Gooner a prick if he said that. Naz?? Hahahaha.

You can quite easily edit your post. I will say that I think Gervinho will a more than adequate replacement for Nasri. Replacing Cesc will be more difficult.

  12. In that case, I suppose it's not such a major insult as I had at first believed.

Still, I can't believe that any of your fellow Gooners would have anything good to say about either player, let alone Nasri, not given the way they treated you (although, I suppose I can understand you forgiving Fab, given that he had made his desire to return to Barca known for some time).

  13. Indeed, I could Mr AdH, but that would be being dishonest. And I'm not afraid to stand up and take criticism where criticism is properly due.

I fail to see how it would be dishonest. I tend to try and correct my mistakes after I make them. To each his own I suppose.

disregarding 'Fab and Naz' <yikes> please do specify which good players you are on about?
an out of sorts Clichy who we've replaced with a Brazilian international?
the much maligned Eboue? Traore? Mark Randall?!

pretty much compares to the average group of players that left spurs this summer, although we've at least attempted to bring in replacements..

  18. See, us neutrals don't see the likes of Clichy or Traore in the same light as you Gooners. We see them as being far more decent players than you are prepared to give them credit for. Agreed, both Bentner and Denilson are probably not worth the names on their red and white shirts, but that's why you've not been able to get shot of them <oK> Agreed?

Clichy had his moments when attacking, but he cost us so much defence wise, failing to clear etc etc

And traore was just abit toss

If spurs had no leftbacks, and you had the choice of Santos, a full brazilian international with experience, and gibbs, a promising young english player with abit of international and prem experience

Or clichy whose been declining for years, made several mistakes, always attacking but offered very little attacking threat and traore who is basically the reverse of bale, a left winger who was abit toss so shoved as a leftback where hes just as toss.

The final day of the season: Both teams look equally poor - I'll be leniant on Arsenal and say that their current strongest team would have lost to us by a similar scoreline to Spurs' recent trip to OT
