A colossal, exhausting & gruelling win after a 100 min backs to the wall display. A steamy & sauna-like away end felt like 100 degrees so god knows how the players managed it. We spent the vast majority of the game defending, blocking & tackling. A terrific back heeled finish from Lyle for the winner. The boy from Chelsea looks a good player from his 20 min today. Jason Pearce MOM, Lockyer not far behind. And the away support was excellent.

What a day. Atmosphere was electric, away end was as Royston said like a sauna. Could only see Blackburn winning after they got the equaliser, I love this team. I didn't see much of a touch from Taylor on the Pearce header but happy for him to take it. Dream start
