Some people have different opinions on what deserves what out of 10, he's not being negative.

Obertan was brilliant defensively vs Fulham but fairly poor defensively in other games.

  3. Do you seriously keep an archive of quotes from me to dig up?

Or do you actually go through articles looking for them?

    Loser.

This is nothing but blatant prejudice. There's nothign to separate Ba and Ameobi this season. Ameobi isn't a 3 and Bas is a 6 only on a very generous assessment

I couldn't give Ameobi anything above a 3 I must admit Fredd. The lack of effort and quality from him so far has been scary. I've never been a big fan but this season I think he has actually been handicapping us as opposed to adding anything at all. The number of times play breaks down with him is unreal. I noticed Cabaye looking frustrated with him the other night. The players know it too. For some reason Pards has faith. I must admit I can't see how Ba can get a 6 though? He ain't been much better for me. Yes he has only started one but that's because his initial start was so bad he had to be withdrawn at half time!

If they'd taken the chances and we'd lost all of these games I bet you'd be giving our players different ratings <ok>

Also stop being so biased towards Staylor, last season it was Barton, now it's Taylor you're jizzing over.

  10. If we had have taken more of our chances we could have won all of our games or perhaps scored 3 or 4 in a match and improved our victory.

I jizzed over Barton because he was awesome most of the time, i'm jizzing over Saylor because he's been ****ing awesome since he came back.

Good logic but what happens when we get to 11 points? Does everyone gets 11 out of 10 because they gave 110% effort?

I think a 3 is a bit extreme, but then we're clearly in the realm of opinion. My real point is that Ba can't be anything but perhaps half a point better than whatever Ameobi is rated at. I would be inclined to give them both about a 5 over all

Irony. You're the biggest loser on here...
Also why say people can have an opinion then tell them they are wrong?

I think 3 is generous to be quite honest. Ameobi literally offers nothing to the play and aside from that, is still constantly being caught offside, fouling opposition defenders for no reason and giving the ball away having fallen over his own feet.

    Well here's my ratings:

Krul - 9 - Has been quite solid till now and made 2 match turning saves against Fulham

Simpson - 6.5 - Think he's been quite solid at the back but needs to get forward a bit and improve his delivery too.

Taylor - 9 - One of our best performers this season. Works well with Colo and could well be awarded with an England call-up

Coloccini - 8 Quite solid too but sometimes he just switches off like vs Fulham.

Raylor - 6. Really deserves a 4 but you can't deny he single-handedly won us a match this season so gave him a 6. Other than that he's a liability to the team and because of him Gutierrez can't get forward, weakening our already poor attack force.

Obertan - 6 - He's a real enigma to me. He has a thunderous pace and real strength but rarely tests a defender. Also seems to have a good footballing vision like the long pass to Ba vs Fulham and the cheeky backheel to Cabaye (was it vs Arsenal?) but still needs to learn to track back and defend and needs a bit of confidence to keep the ball and wait for a good pass instead playing the simple ,easy, wasteful pass.

Cabaye - 6.5 - Has been decent defensively and when taking spot kicks but I haven't been really convinced by the guy. I've seen him play for Lille and France and believe me, I haven't seen even half of what he can do, the long passes and through passes etc.

Tiote - 5 . One of the deceptions so far. He's decent but not the 200% effort Tiote who played last season. Needs to up his game defensively and also stop losing possession needlessly.

Gutierrez - 6.5 - Has been good defensively but could have done better offensively if he didn't have to share Raylor's defensive duties.

Best - 8 - He's seems like a real deal and could challenge for the golden boot this season if we can improve our service to him

Ameobi - 4 - Can hold the ball well and win headers but can't pick up a simple pass. His one-dimensional game is getting really frustrating to watch.

Ba - 5.5 - Has been quite anonymous so far excluding the Fulham game but maybe needs a few starts to get his confidence flowing again.

Pardew - 6: QPR match was a real disaster but needs to take the right tactical decisions at the right time and pick some of our young guns too like Sameobi and Fergueson ...

When this season can you honestly say we've created the same quality of chances that Arsenal and QPR created against us. Answer: We haven't and that's not opinion it's fact!!

We haven't had any of our players make glaring misses like Bothroyd, Wright-Phillips and Faurlin. We've not worked an opposition goalkeeper in the same way Krul has been worked this season. Now, I'm not saying we've defended badly but we've been lucky that these sitters have not been put away. Even Fulham had Krul making 2 unbelievable saves, the header from Danny Murphy springs to mind. We have not had chances like this. Apart from the goals we've scored we've had nothing against Arsenal, Sunderland game should have brought a Barton goal or penalty. Fulham we had 2 good chances from Ryan Taylor when he missed the bottom right corner at the leazes end and Demba Ba hit the bar and against QPR we had 1 chance, when Paddy Kenny tipped Best's low shot around the post in the first half.

So in 4 games we've recorded 2 (lucky) no-score draws and only scored 3 and created 4 other scoring opportunities. 1 of our goals was direct from a set-piece so didn't exactly come about from creative play!

I think my evalution of our players' performance is fair without bias. I will gives reasons now I've got a keyboard in front of me rather than my phone.

Krul - 7 - brilliant shot stopping so far but positioning has had him found in no mans land on a couple of occasions and his kicking has been average.
Coloccini - 7.5 - Very solid when heading and tackling but got pulled out of position all too easy against QPR (mainly because Tiote's poor passing and tackling, Coloccini's passing has been average.
S Taylor 7 - Same as Coloccini but picked up 2 yellow cards already league and cup!
R Taylor 6.5 - scored 2 good free-kicks and performed well in general against Fulham and Sunderland. Also faired well against Gervinho's, Arshavin's, Walcott's and Sagna's pace for 90 mins! Terrible against QPR (definately targetted by Warnock)
Cabaye 6.5 - Some poor tackling and work rate is low but will get better with match fitness, vision is fantastic but resulting passes aren't coming off yet. Shooting looks a strong point, will most probably see a screamer from him this season. Expecting more, very excited by Yohan.
Best 6.5 - Carried on from where he's left off last season. Scored two goals, one was genius. Making a general nuisance of himself to opposition defences. Always gives us an outlet and suprisingly wins the ball in the air and holds the ball up well.
Tiote 5 - Passing, tackling and general positonal awareness has been woeful, definately our worst performer so far this season and this is not because I'm comparing him against last season's performances! Can count himself lucky to have only been booked twice this season!

EVERYONE ELSE GETS - 6 - The rest haven't done anything outstanding or terrible like the selected few above.

THIS. I wouldn't go more than a half mark out from those. Maybe give Krul another half mark, and take one from Raylor, but apart from that, I completely agree with you.
