Over the last few weeks several “Truthseekers” have used this word in its pejorative sense on this forum. It seems this was coined in the States by know alls who think they have all the answers. (or at least the important answers). Commonly used by people so bloated with their own sense of self- importance and intelligence and so overburdened with imagined insight that they use this to put down others (who doubtless should consider themselves fortunate to have things beyond their intelligence explained to them by these modern day oracles of truth and sense).

So to the people who have used the term “sheeple” to describe others, can I just say, thank you from the bottom of my heart for removing my blinkers for me. As long as there are superior beings like your good selves to steer me right then the world is a better place. I can sleep soundly tonight.

I wanted to do that wee rhyme thing about linking your fingers and 'seeing all the people' when I read the article title.

    This is the church

I think thou doth protest too much Dev. You have on a number of occasions been shown to be grossly misinformed and yet persist in some media fed views, probably out of pride or somthing. I dont like the term sheeple, it gives the image of people blindly following whatever they are told, but mostly it is not blindly followed, it is followed because of the egotistical nature of most people where they do not like to admit where they are wrong.

Remember however - "Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in his error" - Marcus Tullius Cicero

now i am now psychologist/psychiatrist but he did kind of answer this for me.
I think it was to eddie, re trying to get one up as he was a soldier and they are supposed to be unintelligent (something like that)
as I say no freud but seems like there maybe an inferiority thing going on

and from what i can see there have been no 'truther' threads today (apart from the odd taking the piss one) so he created one to show his 'superiority'
    and WIN
