It was a terrible terrible penalty. A pass back of a penalty. Keeper didn't have to move an inch. You could just see the keeper relax as the ball floated into his arms From my angle it did look like a foul for the penalty. Taken out from the side with some force, but I am on the wrong side of the pitch.
I can only guess, Aberdeen. It closed on 5th September 1966. I had felt that it was the 1960's rather than earlier, and my guess is that someone took the picture shortly before the closure to preserve a memory.
Great teamwork for the goal. Was sure Adams was going to shoot but was the right choice for the pass to hoj.
He has said how fit he feels, but when we pushed him last season it didn’t work. Will be interesting if he continues mainly playing 60 minutes stints.
Subs on the hour mark... OFF: Stephens, Bertrand, Ward-Prowse, Redmond, Adams ON: Yoshida, Cedric, Romeu, Boufal, Long
Here’s another photo showing the gasometer, so it looks like it is right next to the modern stadium. And here’s another map: From this site: http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/n/northam/
