But the point of a transfers deadline is that we, like other clubs, should be capable of operating up to the last minute of the deadline. This is the 21st century, document communications can take place in the blink of an eye. To say that we cannot file certain pieces of paper before a deadline is just ridiculous. The Situ deal is going to go through in some fashion (no?) ... best I understand ... he's been training with the club.
Its a load of rubbish all we want to do is transfer one premiership player to another premiership club, all this foreign country crap is ridiculous, If the two clubs agree anywhere in the world for a player who is registered as a player to move from one club to another club then what is the problem, there is to much unnecessary red tape and i'm sure if it was man utd or barca they would rush any transfer through, but because we are a small club it dont matter....
So am I correct in thinking that we have signed Situ but we cannot register him as a player (and therefore can't play him) until the window re-opens in January?
That would be my hope ... but at this point, presuming contracts have been signed ... the player is in something of a limbo. What I would like to understand is the difference between Bessone and the other two. He's foreign born, with an "international" transfer between Leeds and us. Why was he cleared so quickly when they all happened same day. Is it really question of timing - did an email, or a fax not arrive until just after midnight. Are we talking differences of a time zone.
We forgot to send the envelope of cash. The deal 'might' have been sorted then!! Oh!! Can't believe I've just implied that about Blatter's 'above-board' gravy-train, I mean organisation...... Feckin tossers.......
Sol Campbell ... and he's better than Monk how. At this point any help we get must be a free agent and must either be under 21 or fit into our two open slots in our 25 man squad. There are no loans possible in the Prem.
This is a ****ing joke!! As has been said there would be ****ing uproar if this was Arsenal, Man U Man C and the like that were refused to sign players at the last minute!!!
Taffvale, it's the question I was asking. It sounds as if you've paid the £250k, are paying his wages, but can't play him. Not a good position to be in. Good job he wasn't a £5M player. It does seem to be all red tape. As for other signings, you are left with players who were free agents before the transfer window closed.
Well this article is from 3 months ago, so some have gone to clubs, and others have got their walking sticks and grand kids so some must be available http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/16/list-players-released-premier-league-clubs
This is not the first time we have dropped our draws in public, where transfers are concerned, no will it be the last!! Oh well let's roll out super sub Beattie! Oh wait he's injured again too, better laugh at all this guys, otherwise you'd end up crying...................... please log in to view this image PS: Remember the fiasco of the Edgar registration that never was, last January, some mothers do have them !!!... please log in to view this image
