I hadn't! As soon as I heard his name this summer I wondered if it was the same Pepe.. Another to add to the same file as Negredo perhaps.
They’d have a decent forward line up if they did. I wish we had kept Campbell. He was excellent last season.

Hull City are weighing up moves for Doncaster Rovers’ Ben Whiteman and Leonardo Lopes of Wigan Athletic as they step up preparations for the likely exit of Markus Henriksen. City are resigned to losing Henriksen this month and are now ready sanction a sale to give Grant McCann the chance to find a replacement before next week’s transfer deadline. George Honeyman is expected to bolster the Tigers’ options with a £400,000 move from Sunderland today but McCann is eager to sign another midfielder to provide further competition. With City unsure if a deal can be struck to bring Herbie Kane to the KCOM Stadium on loan from Liverpool, Whiteman and Lopes are both under consideration. Whiteman flourished under McCann at Doncaster last season, making 50 appearances in a side that narrowly missed out on promotion out of League One. The 23-year-old, who was initially on the books of Sheffield United, still has two years remaining on his contract and was recently made team captain by McCann’s replacement at the Keepmoat Stadium, Darren Moore. McCann is also an admirer of Lopes, who served him at Peterborough. The 20-year-old midfielder joined Wigan for £1.5m last summer but spent the second half of last season out on loan with League One Gillingham. Lopes, born in Lisbon, is a Portugal under-20s international. McCann would only move for one of the two targets provided no complications were encountered in the deal to sign Honeyman.Sunderland’s skipper underwent a medical yesterday and is due to become City’s sixth signing of the summer window on a three-year deal.
Interesting fact about Atletico - 3 final appearances. 3 losses. 1 on penalties after extra time, 1 in extra time( both to Real Madrid) and 1 in a replay( Bayern M). Villa - p 1 w 1 beat Bayern M.
Adam Webster to sign for Brighton, fee is £18m up front with £4m in add-ons (great deal for Brizzle, considering he only joined for £3.5m from Ipswich last summer). He's being signed to replace Lewis Dunk, who'll now be allowed to go to Leicester to replace Maguire, so I suspect his move to Man United is close.
Swansea have signed winger Kristoffer Peterson from Heracles. In time to be registered to play against us tomorrow.
I think we have some decent options in midfield already ,especilally if we complete Honeyman wish it was more depth upfront we were chasing .
We play with three midfielders and one striker, so if one of our midfielders leaves, they'll need replacing. We currently have three strikers vying for one position, plus Bowen and Bowler that can play there. If Henriksen leaves, we have Honeyman, Batty, Stewart, Irvine and Toral, which is five midfielders for three positions. Two injuries and we'd be in trouble.
Nice to have some scope to change the formation if he decides this one isn't working for some reason , and I personally don't rate Dicko that highly So putting a lot of faith in Eaves . Not many teams at any level operate with only 2 out and out forwards
You're counting an 18 year old kid? If so why aren't you counting our 18-19 year old kids who can play in midfield?
