Thought spotlight was a very good film,Arrival decent enough with a **** ending I thought. Now on second series of the Oath really enjoying it ,now with the added bonus of Christina Milian in it.Can't believe I haven't seen anyone else mention the Oath on here.
Arrival is about as original alien invasion film as you can find, if you come away from that movie not thinking about it you ain't watched it properly imo. Brilliant imo
From what i gather i hate all the time travel crap (yes i i know its theoretical 4d). Amy adams sees the future because the alien things have seen it. They travel back in time to save humanity who they hope will save them (if i remember the story/what i read right). Not a fan of that sort of nonsense
It's about how time is perceived rather than time travel. One of my favourite films of recent years I prefer Sucky, suck sounds too sordid
I noticed. I was reminded of a forumite elsewhere who, after I posted on some of the foremost quantum physicists contemplating the possibility that our consciousness can survive our physical death, declared it a load of nonsense and when you're dead, you're dead, as if Sir Roger Penrose is some psychic writing about his ouija board skills rather than one of the brainiest people on the planet and co-author of the Penrose–Hawking singularity theorems (with Stephen Hawking) postulating on the existential nature of consciousness itself. But perhaps that forumite was actually a Nobel Prizewinner in Being Clever and ****. I didn't ask. Similarly, it would be easy to make a trite simplification of the conceptual science of nonlinear time as "time travel." There are plenty of explanations out there but it's pointless trying to isolate a simple quote to sum it all up. SPOILER ALERT: The twist in the movie is that you think Louise is having flashbacks - it was curious that she seemed to be mystified by them - but the ending reveals she's actually having flashforwards and the father of her child is Ian. Learning the alien language has changed the way she thinks and perceives - which was referenced by Ian earlier as what happens when you learn another language - so she has become perceptive to nonlinear time. Of course it's possible that if she'd just flown a jet into the belly of the spaceship and blown it up with a bigass bomb, that would've made more sense.
Not gonna lie mate it took 3 viewings to really get it. Inception done that to me aswell But it ain't about flecking time travel is it Bob
Well its stupid in my eyes. She can see what's going to happen before it happens so can change the course of future but not really. Just not my cup of tea Almost as dumb as the ending of alita
