Good game today, the kid looks very very comfortable on the pitch for his age. New Messi In other news....
Liverpool signing Elliott 'truly sorry' for video with apparent mocking of Kane https://www.goal.com/en/news/liverp...sorry-for-video-with/6l52uzcrvg4ezhsy6b43xuj2
He could very well get some games for the 1st team this year, looked really comfortable yesterday, klopps put him in straight with the big lad squad so we shall see. Deffo a prospect to watch
Certainly looks a prospect. Can see him getting game time in the cups this year with maybe the odd cameo on the prem from the bench if we’re short. Dno what the fuss fuss is about the video... he’s 16 ffs. It’s not like we all haven’t done similar stuff at that age
Harvey Elliott is with us about the same age Dele Ali went to Tottenham(after we missed out on him)Harvey Elliott is our Steve Gerard of the future.
I agree (except for the slapped bit ) I noticed this morning more has come out about it and the Harry Kane link which I didn't get from the video. Messing about with your mates is one thing, posting it is another. He is only 16 but should know better. Pity he didn't have the forethought to clean up his social media knowing a big move was coming. I bet his parents aren't too pleased either. Hopefully lesson learned.
Wasnt it on his mates snapchat? Hardly like he’s videos himself doing it and posted it on twitter. Hes a kid, kids mess around and do stupid ****. Telling me you didn’t make fun of adults when you were his age?
It's the spastic mockery that bothers me tbh nothing to do with kane for me. At 15 that ****s just not funny, **** me at 5/6 that should be out of you if brought up right. Saying that I'm not bothered by the video at all I only posted the vid cos it was on the spud rival thread and of course he was getting rinsed for it. Wanted to se how it went down here
The difference now to what I may have done as a teenager and even you for whom it's not so long ago are the consequences. This video reaches the whole (connected) world in seconds. This was in a private setting so leave it private. There's no such thing as a 'private setting' when you're filming it with the intention of sharing it on social media. So while the actions may be typical of a 16 year old, the minute it's shared online it puts it on another level. This wasn't filmed without his knowledge and was obviously shared with his consent. He's also outside of the typical teenager tag by virtue of his footballer status which brings with it a need for more caution when out with your mates. Not handled properly, this has the potential to sink his career before it's started. Very unlikely imo.
Maybe so, but his mates aren’t footballers. Kids are kids. People are way too over sensitive these days. He’s not killed anyone, he’s taking the puss having a laugh. We’ve all done it, and still do it. Nothing to see here move along in my opinion.
