Eriksen still can’t beat the first man, even from a penalty Don’t worry though, still love you. PS: Sign da ting!
Poyet: A good pre-season doesn't always mean a good start to the season. And he knows what he is talking about.
Still got Inter to play, another good test but really enjoyed this pre-season against elite competition... and Man Utd who must’ve been delighted at beating a big team like us. Kane looking fresh and lean, Skipp looking really good, Tanganga arguably been our best CB, Eriksen not playing like he wants out, Lamela beasting it as per usual - here’s just hoping this time he can stay fit. Only downer has been Foyth’s injury. Got a bad feeling that could be a lengthy one.
ITV's pundits to stick to the script they prepared for our inevitable defeat, by the looks of things...
This must be a positive, the youngsters all acquitted themselves well ,Skipp moved up a notch and in previous games Parrott did no harm . Let's face it if we would of had these results 3 yrs ago we would not have believed it
Legit feel sorry for Eyoma: he picked up an injury so missed out on pre-season, and then Tanganga comes in and acquits himself superbly ...oh yeah, that reminds me, Eyoma can play right back
Reports suggest Jack Roles' penalty is still boring its way through Munich, with seismologists worried that it will not stop until it crosses the Austrian border
Academy watch (pre-season) : IMHO Parrott should be fast-tracked to the senior squad, and try to get a decent loan out for Taganga (league below etc) . The other kids on display are still works in progress (Roles etc) , or have not really pushed on sufficiently (Georgiou etc) .
Apparently last night the impression was that Foyth twisted his ankle really badly, no further update AFAIK
