I spent a few months in Coventry a long time ago. Fck me that whole place is depressing.

The only person you'd meet for a coffee there is a therapist.

I was buying my ganja in a place called Folshill (iirc) and EVERY dealer was called Errol

 

Didn't it bother you that a stranger was taking a picture of you or did you just assume it was someone from the younger end of your extensive fan base?

I've had some crazy nights at that place, even for my standards.

Amazing city though, theres something about it that I really, really like. I'd be tempted to settle there one day tbh.

 

Never had a night out in Bath as I went there with wife and children.

A few great nights out in Bristol.

 

It takes a special kind of bloke to pull it off, mate.

I'm still working on it.

 

I like the fact that both Bristol and Bath have Magic Bars.

 

When you're idolised like I am, strangers stealing a sneaky photo isn't anything new, Toon.

 

Yeah we used to go to Bristol about once a month, different vibe to Bath, both really good places though. Bristol is rough round the edges, whereas Bath is posh as ****. Totty in Bath is up there with the best I've seen.

Nearly every club in Bath is underground in caverns, which is kinda cool. I heard this was mainly due to the difficulty getting music licences as the City didn't want loud music pumping out of everywhere, so they took it underground.

Pub life if Bath is brilliant tbh. Good times.

 

The totty on campus is pretty nice, too.

Shame that most of it pre-pubescent Chinese language students.

I was there doing post grad study, ****ing place is worse than some of the 3rd world shanty towns I've stayed in, no ****.

Desperate, grim place if ever I saw one.

No they’re not...they just look like they are 12/13 they’re about 21

 

Still, I'm not going to chance it, mate.

 

And great independent theatres that double up as cinemas. Seen some great live music there.

Saw a Bristol band called Laid Blak in the Bath one. It's down near the new shopping complex iirc (probably not new now but it wasn't there when I lived there!).

 

This band... they still do the local circuit

HIAG I'm assuming they rent the digs out at the back of the Uni that kinda run parallel to the main walkway/square on campus? I can't remember the name but it was the more expensive option. Thinking about it the new ones by the uni bus station are probably all finished now, they looked lovely tbf.

I stayed out near the back field in Eastwood. The campus ghetto!!
