I believe we might have to be the first of the blinkers in this case. It would cost us greatly to have the likes of Austin/Lemina/Carrillo/Forster sat around contributing nothing. I'd rather sell on the cheap simply to save on wages. We need to accept we made mistakes and not let it cost us any more going forward.
Wouldn't we have to pay him off if we unilaterally cancel his contract? Does it actually save us money?
I don't think he meant that the reason he left was due to saving money, just that with him leaving they didn't see the need to replace him as other backroom staff had had promotions/wage rises this summer. If he chose to leave for personal reasons then I guess he would've got a far smaller compensation package than if we cancelled his contract. Either way it is pretty strange for a manager to not have a designated assistant, even if he has a number of "First Team Coaches" or whatever the official title is for the staff around Hassenhuttl is now.
Thought you were talking about the 28 year old Carrillo at first! But yeah, I've not seen him play so couldn't offer judgement either way
i got told from a reliable sauce that Chaiman Jisheng Gao reads through not606 articles as it helps him decide club policy on matters ranging from possibe transfer targets and player disposals etc. In fact I hear Jisheng is actually going to be writing an article on here fairly soon with a few comments possibly using an existing not606 account
He is raw as hell, but you can see a good player is in there. Sadly Carillo isn't good or young though
We aren't skint as in no money. It is just Saints wage bill is crazy high and the squad is bloated as hell.
Music to my bloody ears! Although you can't blame players sticking to a generous contract - the club will really benefit with them gone. We are 1/2 signings away from a brilliant season and departures will help facilitate this.
Whoever told you that is not reliable. I heard from a source (who will remain nameless) that Nelly Gao is responsible for all transfers and contracts management in the same way Levy is for Spurs. And that she is a regular poster on here already.
