While we bask in the glory of being a top 4 team (ok,ok, I know that we have been very fortunate so far and it's only 4 games into the season but you have to enjoy it while it lasts), but anyway, looking down from our lofty position, those of us with very good eyesight can see nearly all the way down to the bottom few places, and who should we see down there, stumbling around like a one legged alcoholic, but our unhygenic neighbours, Sunderland.:smiley-finger007:

Now, the soap dodgers are beginning to call for DJBrucey to get the push, and if they lose to Stoke on Sunday there is a good chance that he will get the bullet. Normally I would welcome a manager of the dark side getting the DCM (Don't Come Monday), but I really don't want Mrs Doubtfire to go.................................................yet.

You see, I really, really, dislike the guy. I think that he is a childish, feeble minded buffoon, and the perfect manager for Sunderland. If they sack him after this weekend, they will still have another 33 matches left and plenty of time to get a decent manager in, and for him to turn this season around. But if they manage to bumble on with him until Christmas the damage that he could do could be too much for his replacement to rectify in the last few months of the season, sending them back to where they truly belong, the 2nd tier of English football for their 2nd rate club.

So this has put me in an awkward and weird situation....................I am not sure that I want Sunderland to lose on Sunday<yikes>................................maybe a draw would be a better result?

Also, we want to stay ahead of Stoke.

    A draw it is then

There's a couple of good, ambitious managers unattached at the moment (Ancelotti, O'Neill etc) so I'd rather they had a **** draw and stuck with Brucey.

I think it'll be a draw to be honest. I don't like the way Stoke play football, but I think they'll score one or two. Sunderland have a 100% home record against Stoke I think, and I think they'll be able to match whatever Stoke throw at them.

Obviously, as a mag, I don't want Sunderland to win. However, I can't stand Stoke, so I don't want them to win either.

A draw would do me. Not too fussed either way though. I care more about our game on Saturday.

Draw and for the SAFC board to not give him the dreaded vote of confidence.

Still want Sunderland to lose, do we want to finish ahead of Stoke or Sunderland more?

Plus we don't know where either will finish.

  10. Regardless of how much i hate Stokes style of play, **** the mackems. I don't mind finishing below stoke, because regardless of their ****ty tactics, at least they spend their money quite well and have ambition. They spent money on players that will aid their cause and aren't afraid of splashing cash when it's needed, and for that reason i respect them a bit.

I'd take finishing below Stoke who i reckon will be 7th, if we finish above the mackems or at least get the 6pts.

The 6pts from them is what matters when it comes to bragging rights <ok>

I am very happy with our start to the season. Once the new boys settle in the performances should get better.

Are you happy with your start to the season?

  19. We had to defend to get the points from Arse and QPR, we got raped by Sunderland first half, despite the fact we should have had a pen, but we were the better team in the 2nd half and performed well.

We played well 2nd half vs Fulham and played great, flowing, creative football and that's why we won.

There are promising signs to our play so far, and we certainly haven't been one of the worst teams so far.
