I think that’s very cheap. Prem proven, solid mid table player. Wouldn’t mind him as our number 2.

Burnley obviously under pressure having hart and his big wages that unable to keep them all.

Think thats a cracking signing for villa for villa for a very small fee.

Just checked which teams Heaton has played for because I know he's been around. He's played for 10 teams, Villa will be his 11th, and this is his first ever transfer fee!

He had that very good season when everything seemed to click for Burnley. Don’t think he’s much more than an ok mid table prem keeper though.

Ugh, Tim Cahill is going to be on MoTD/Final score/FF this season.

I don't mind ex-rival players doing media work, but when they're as bias as Cahill has been every time he's been on Sky. No thanks.

Is Maguire the greatest mercenary football has ever seen?

World record fee for a defender to join a team that finished 6th in their league.

Hahahaha, and I suppose Carra, McManaman, Thommo, Lawro, Redknapp and Sourness are completely impartial? <laugh>

More than Cahill, who just bad bais.

That other Everton guy, for some reason I can't remember his name (really can't remember), who's been doing Final Score and Motd is ok. I mean it's obvious he can't bring himself to say anything good about Liverpool, but to be fair to him he's fairly impartial overall. Even guys like G Neville has shown impartiality.

Seen Cahill a few times on Sky and he's awful with the bias. And this is about Cahill not other ex-players.

    Osman <ok>

Come off it mate, Thommo is the most biased pundit going and Lawro predictions have seen you win the league every year for a decade <laugh>

None of them are truly impartial, but if they’re good pundits it doesn’t matter as they can be objective about the actual game they’re commenting on.

    Osman, thats the fella.

Again this is about Cahill not others. Will you accept Cahill is bad bias? (and also a poor pundit (and a massive dickhead))

Couldn't give a **** about Thommo, he's a ****e pundit on a ****e show. Lawro is Lawro and nobody really cares what he says anymore.

Tim is a Blue and for me an Everton legend, so I am biased.

I’ve never seen him as a pundit that I can recall though, as the games he’ll have been on will have undoubtedly been ours, and I was likely there. It’ll be interesting to see how he does, tbh I thought he’d go into coaching and not the media.

Pundits like Thommo dont shy away from it though and as such he never does any serious punditry. I dont care for some that are a bit more sly and try to make out as though they arent bias.

Ferdinand is alright on BT, obvious utd bias but is generally quite fair. Similarly is Hargreaves.

Cahill summed up his punditry skills when talking abut penalty in Liverpool Fulham game last year when he wasn’t moaning about the clear penalty for pull back on Mane.

But it said something weird like it’s a penalty.. but it’s definite not a penalty

Can’t remember exact wording but managed to contradict himself within the same sentence <doh>

Here it is... so it’s a definite penalty.. but it looks soft and not a penalty <laugh>

It’s a definite penalty, from the first instance, the referee’s angle he’s got to blow for a penalty. But with the benefit of a replay it looks soft.'

Souness is the best IMO if the ex Liverpool set. Great player, just has it in for Pogba, maybe it’s his frustration of a wasted talent.

Zinedine Kilbane is a decent ex Everton pundit along with Hinch in Championship coverage/commentary.

Murphy is just terrible, the RS equivalent of Garth Crooks, he must be in for the bald quota in the beeb.

Cahill is new to the game, let’s see what he brings and will be interesting to see what he is doing in UK between the odd MOTD shift, badges/coaching?
