Commenting and reading the threads on this board. Now I log on, read a few comments, feel pissed off then log off, dont think I'm alone.
nope your not alone, i still post though cos i cant help myself when i get annoyed by another persons post. im an argumentative bastard.
I used to enjoy chasing birds, going to Roker & standing in the Fulwell, getting blathered on a weekend, going to all the London away games as I have family down there, going up to Glasgow to see my cousins & hitting the piss so hard I'd be bad for 2 days. Sadly, can't do any of it no more mate. If I'm not happy, I will say it. Some people don't like honesty, just ask Eric Gates.
This may come as a surprise to some () but I quite like the Sunderland board. There's always, ALWAYS at least 5 or 6 bits of footballing discussion going on at the same time and some of it is pretty interesting.
I think its down to the fact that the team are struggling, since the start of the last championship winning season (after the first 5 games of course) there's been a real feel good factor about the club, Bents departure, the repeat slump and fear of the R word before thevictory against Wigan and a torrid start to this season has definitely dented the feel good factor. The noises coming out of the club aren't great and the gyan debacle have added to this. A win on sunday could turn the whole thing around. A defeat though and this place might be a no go area for some people
I agree with some of the comments above, in that it does get more difficult on forums such as this when things arn't going according to plan...You find that battle lines get drawn, and topics, regardless how they begin, usually end up with the same old points being made...
Agreed but that's something that is created by the club and can only be resolved by the club. We as fans don't buy and sell players, nor do we pick the team, train them or set the tactics and formations. As fans, all we can do is discuss the aftermath. If we don't have that then this forum becomes little more than a self congratulating love in. That would be boring. That our posts recently are very argumentative and unpalatable to many is testimony to the poor performances and results on the pitch. Over to you mr Bruce?
Troll boring is indeed a civil engineering procedure, designed to bring up Bruce from the depths of any topic....
I know my OP looks like a complaint but its not, its a concern. We have built a very good community on not606 and we can easly kill it, IMO. I spent in the main on the forum in general tend to come on between 5 and 7 each morning then most evenings but evenings now are spent, in the main, on the forum in general. We do have problems at the club and everyone is entitled to a view but every thread seems to be turned into a fight and many of us simply dont want to spend our evenings fighting. Just a view point and of no more importance than anyone else but to talk about the bad bits is one thing, we seem to have lost the ability to simply have fun and enjoy. Its Thursday, we should be looking at the weekend, the team and the result but we tend now to find how many ways we can call Bruce a clown. Anyway, thats just my view.
