I'm not sure 7m a great deal. We paid 5m what 3 years ago. Given he has done a steady job, I don't think that really represents football inflation. I'd retain him personally, certainly until we sign a left back. At present if we play a four you'd have Dummett who is steady at left back, Lazaar who looks gash and I assume will be sold, and Ritchie who I think you get away with at wing back but wouldn't fancy at full back. At least when Clark has played there he has done nothing wrong. I can see why he might be agitating though because he is a long way down the pecking order at centre back.

According to the Chronicle he played well last night when he came on for Dummett,gave him 7 for 29mins.
