How would you line up at Burnley next week? I think this is one that wouldn't require a back 3 and would like to match their two up top so: Gunn Valery Bednarek Maya Bertrand Hojgberg Romeu Redmond Prowsey Adams Ings Boufal to come on and score our 4th in the 90th minute.
As much as I love the Samurai Warrior I can't believe that we could start another season with him as a first choice CB.
I nearly made a joke the other day about still 'being in for' Davide Astori [a CB], along the lines of Jim Magilton still being manager at Ipswich Town. Thank goodness I looked him up. I had forgotten. That would have been in incredibly bad taste, and that's not my style.
Even if we do make a signing, it’s probably too late for them to fit straight in. I know he is a little bit of a “for the future” anyway, but don’t see Djenepo starting after only a week and a bit with the squad
I think id go with your line up, except I'd start Vestergaard, Don't they have plenty of height? We would need to quell that some what.
If we made no more signings we propably wont have a manager (but i am sure we will add a couple more)
I think we probably will as well tbh and I've said before that's it probably the best option with out current group but I do think there's matches where we could get away with a back four, though more likely at home tbf.
Think you've pretty much got it spot on. Or id maybe be tempted to play a 4-3-3 shape like this: Same defence Romeu Jwp Peh Redmond Adams boufal The biggets issue for me is that Romeu hasn't been seen - is he injured? I'd like to see us dominate midfield a bit more than we did against Feyenoord. Would love to see Reed given a chance, but I don't think Burnley is the game for it
If Hoedt sorts out his attitude and if he's impressed Ralph in training then I can see him playing. If we're playing a back 4 then I would rather he partnered Bednarek than the other 3. Mark Hughes did not help him either. Ralph could really help Hoedt if he wants to be helped. There are the makings of a good CB in him. I've seen glimpses of it.
