i used to like it but i had to stop watching it because i couldnt bare seeing all of those men and women getting hurt.
You're still upset that you couldnlt complete the Merlin Hulk Hogan sticker book from 1994 aren't you?
I have watched WWE/WWF for years, and i thoroughly enjoy it. I think the men and women who put themselves through the matches week in week out, sometimes 3/4 times or more in a week should be given a massing pat on the back, as i know i could not take some of the punishment they do. I know it is SCRIPTED, but a lot of it is not fake as most people believe. They do hold back on punches, but they do make contact with slightly open fists, this leads to broken knuckles more often than not, the kicks to anywhere but the head are also real, just not full contact. Then the slaps are also real, you often see the wrestlers leave the ring with welts on their chest after receiving 4/5 good slaps! Then you have the many forms of suplex, these are real and can not be faked, the only thing which can be done is to lessen the blow. But each time you get thrown to the mat you are winded and often things go badly wrong. I have to say that the attitude era of WWF was some of the best sports entertainment i had seen. However, in the past year the show has been reduced from a PG13 rating to a PG12 i believe. This means the type of matches allowed has had to change. Where as before, you could have a last man standing match where both men were thrown through tables, off of the stage and even had their head smashed through glass, which ultimately lead to a tonne of blood pouring out of them! However, now due to the lower rating they are only able to use Kendo sticks, steel chairs, ring steps, the champ belts and tables. It makes it a lot tamer and less exciting to watch. This Video is a few years old now, but it shows some of the brutal things which have happened in WWE, you look at what these men go through and tell me they are faking!! Not so much can't spell but more mistyped. Oh - and here's a couple of apostrophes to help you out for I'm (you could ask your carer to teach you about capitalisation by the way), can't and couldn't. If you're going to pick up on spelling and grammar it's usually best to get your own house in order first.
Sorry to be the one to do this. Where as before, you could have a last man standing match where both men were thrown through tables (compressed sawdust),off of the stage (no doubt on to bare concrete? No, some time of mat, okay then) and even had their head smashed through glass (sugar glass) which ultimately lead to a tonne of blood pouring out of them (they cut themselves with small blades that they keep in their wrist bands) ! However, now due to the lower rating they are only able to use Kendo sticks (hollowed out, or compressed sawdust again) , steel chairs (lightweight but make a lot of noise, plus they prob put their hands up), ring steps (again a lightweight metal that makes more noise than does damage), the champ belts (i expect they hit them with this like they throw them nasty punches)and tables.
Dont worry about it, i am happy to discuss this. The tables arent compressed sawdust. If i could find the video i would show you how one splinters and causes a 3 inch gash in one wrestlers back. I did not mean off the stage completely as i know there are mats for that, thats basic health and safety. However, the stage is aluminium which when you do this through it it hurts! Yes i agree that a lot of the time it is sugar glass, but there are times it is not and when its not it hurts. I know they do blade themselves most of the time, but they still loose a lot of blood. The kendo sticks are genuine, i have seen them up close (at the RAW live tour) and have seen the welts they leave. Whilst i agree they often block a blow to the head (again H+S) they often get smashed on the flat of the back. They also use trash cans which are again aluminium to do things like this This is the type of damage that can be done after a single match, and this is with the scripting and damage limitation
