Of course hardly a mention of that and naturally it was just a small minority. How gratifying that it wasn't a majority of the 7,000 who had managed to make the long and arduous trek to Bolton. The same incident at a game involving City would have had headlines screaming about City fans day of shame bringing disgrace to the city and the police saying no time and expense would be spared tracking down the culprits.

Had a national football reporter of colour been verbally abused in this fashion, the usual suspects would be all over it like a rash,'Lord' Ousely demanding action and some ****ish journo dredging up 'Not enough died' against DQPR in 2005 as proof of the evil callousness and ice cold heart of this north east coast town club's fanbase.

If they said it was a North East Coast town no one would know where they were referring to.

Wasn’t Hull referred to as a ‘north east coastal town/city’ when we were getting bombed the **** out of by the nasty Nazi?

Not sure why you have given 'Coast' a capital C.

It's never good to finish a sentence with a preposition.

The moral of this story is thst no one really gives a **** about Rugby League outside of the M62 corridor.

There is a reason for this, but the HDM, Gwillam Lloyd and a few local fatties just don't get it.

Just seen a typical RL 'fan' in the sandwich shop. 6' plus, about 20 stone, Arsenal shirt on and Hull FC wrist bands.

Yes. That was to confuse the Germans as it wasn’t on the coast. They didn’t give information which help the enemy. People of Hull were upset about it as it didn’t reflect where there City was.

Hull fans as objective and unbiased as ever in his analysis of their latest defeat.

“Unfortunately for Hull FC the referee Ben Thaler clearly was inconsistent with a number of key decisions. The RFL will be very happy the rearranged game went in favour of their beloved Wigan, and the better team did not get the result they deserved. Their is no way you could knock the effort and passion of the Hull players but Hull definitely did not get the bounce of the ball or any 50 - 50 decisions. But then this was not unexpected. Finally can I state that this is not sour grapes but a rugby league fan who is fed up of paying to watch ineptitude refereeing displays that definitely appear to favour one team. Also made worse that when decisions were referred to the video ref their was no screen for supporters to view the incident and any decision. But will be there for next week's game against Wakefield. COYH. Keep the faith.”
