Interesting that Everton decided to sell Gueye. He was the engine room of their midfield, allowing the 'luxury' players like Gomes, Siggy and Richarlison licence to roam forward. Reports that they're in for Lemina as a replacement makes it all even stranger as the Soton player simply isn't as good.
Considerably younger though and I think he's got more ability on the ball. Total ****house, but he gets away with it.
Having his loans at Villa and Wednesday regularly curtailed by injuries can't have helped his confidence, either If he does join Huddersfield he'll be in good company, as Alex Pritchard and Jaden Brown are there too
Everton have struck a deal to sign Moise Kean from Juve...subject to a buy-back condition. That's the second big PL club that has taken a player from a foreign club on a deal which gives .them no right to keep the player, if the 'selling' club wants them back. So much for the financial muscle of the PL and having a long term strategy? Madness!
Apparently Atletico Madrid are in for Lo Celso. With every passing day I get a sense of the joke is on us...N'Dombele on his own is a very poor window. The other 2 purchases don't really count since we won't be seeing them. Tick tock Eriksen...we should give him an ultimatum. I'm not keen on him disrupting our season due to his procrastinating. Swap for Dybala...there's a deal there if everyone wants what they claim they want. Levy bartering and us missing out won't really be good enough and might earn a thread on its own.
It's not even the first time Everton have signed a player with that clause hanging over them, either - they signed Deulofeu with that exact same clause, which Barca were happy to remind them about a few seasons later
I expect at least two class AM in the squad roster come season start. Which combo of NEW AM + Eriksen I know not, just sort it. As for Lo Celso, if the aggro is sorting the sell-on payments to PSG etc, fine. If the problem is old school Levy (trying to get the boy for 40m etc) then there will be multiple articles about it.
Beggars cannot be choosers. Regardless of the wealth of the PL, you are seeing which clubs have no power over the Euro giants and which can tell them where to go.
Yeah, these 2 PL clubs are turkeys voting for Christmas but any club can tell them where to go or not. Juve themselves, got stiffed by Real Madrid on Morata's buy-back clause a few years back. As HBIC said, Everton have had this stroke pulled on them before, letting it happen again is just ****ing stupid. As soon as Madrid refused an option to buy on Ceballos, Levy dropped any interest. Bloody right too.
As I said before, Ceballos loan + no option to buy would be ok, if Madrid agreed to subsidise the great majority of his weekly wage. Why should a club such as Spurs be paying any wages more than 50K/week for the likes of him on loan ??
Roma supposedly still want Toby. They literally had about 5 weeks to sign him for peanuts and couldn't pay it, yet they still think they have a chance now that he's gonna cost about an extra £15m on top of that clause? Gotta love their persistence I guess.
They could be trying to Levy us Wait for our window to close before offering 10 mill and astronomical wages to Toby in the hope of unsettling him...maybe.
They'd probably piss most of their squad off if they done that considering their top earner is on like £100k a week and he's already rejected £130k a week from us, likely resulting in something like £150k-£180k being needed to lure him away. Plus, think we'd rather keep him for another year than let him go for something like £10m, he'd make us more dough than that if we get CL football again.
