    You are correct sir, I have to take issue with the selection of Barton though, he was ****ING ****E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I would go for Nobby but only if Rob Lee is defo being included as a CM? If Rob Lee is only getting selected in this category it would have to be him because he was more important than Nobby to us. That is saying something because Nobby is an absolute legend. He was ****e, and I mean really ****e, for a year and half while he adapted to the league. I remember the guy next to me at the match "You see, he'll never cut it him, too lightweight. These south americans are no good over here" I remember thinking "but there's defo something there, give him time" Sure enough he eventually found his feet and produced form that even saw Real Madrid courting his services. Why was Franz Carr not included? Haha.

    He was the weak link in the 95/96 season but did look better in the team when Dalglish and Gullit were in charge.

    These polls started off as being 'pick your favourite player' rather than 'pick the best team'. Which is why Barton did so well I think, he's a good lad and still supports Newcastle with some amazing bias TV presenting.
    It now seems to have changed from pick your favourite into pick the best team.

    This post is in regards to Warren. Too many Bartons all being discussed on the same page.

    Must admit I had Barton down in third behind firstly Watto and secondly Hughes. Watto all the way for me once you factored in the local boy factor, and that he was your typical 120% guy. And he could play loads of positions and had an eye for goal! I think I was put off Barton from the time I saw them all in Legends. Barton was being a prize prick with the female bar staff, giving it the big I am. Mind they were pretty sozzled. Watto and Clarkie could barely walk!

    Milner was actually my favourite player when he was here!
