Good Morning. It's Tuesday 30th July, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines

Villa last gasp effort to tempt Phillips

According to the Daily Star, Aston Villa are offering Kalvin Phillips a whopping 600% increase in his wages should he move to Villa Park. The Villans have already splashed out in excess of 100m in transfers this Summer are still keen to add Phillips to their bulging squad.

With a wage offer of £60,000, no wonder the 23yo has get to agree a new contract!

The cheek of Villa. They sell their ground to their owner to avoid FFP and are taking the biggest gamble in football since Ridsdale-gate. Thoughts?

Dutch pair spotted at Thorp Arch

Vurnon Anita and Ouasim Bouy were pictured at Thorp Arch yesterday, six days before the start of the season! Whilst it is a forgone conclusion that the Dutch pair are surplus to requirements, why have they not been told to stay away from Thorp Arch like De Bock, Yosuke Ideguchi, Conor Shaughnessy and Tom Pearce.

Talking about De Bock, it looks likely that Belgian will go out on loan to Greek club Aris Thessaloniki on a season long loan.

    Who would you sign?

If you could sign one player between now and the start of the season, who would it be and why? You've got a 9m kitty and £27,000 a week wage budget!

    Morning all <ok>

Hoping Anita, Bouy and LDB leave the club this week to make 26 out of the door

Ideguchi and Tom Pearce will likely be gone too shortly to make 28 gone.

The stories around the Petagne to Leeds from SPAL is still raging as Mirco Antonnuci's strike partner is supposedly wanted by Bielsa? SPAL have knocked the bid back and want £23m and it seems Mirco only has good things to say about Leeds and wishes he were here under Bielsa. Expect this story to fizzle out soon or Eire would have a heart attack as we just found £23m down the back of the settee.

Stranger things have happened though and we could be in the same position next season. What do I mean? SPAL loaned Petagne from Atalanta and the deal meant that if SPAL survived to stay in Seria A they would buy Petagne for £12m. They did better than expected thanks to Petagne's goals and finished 13th so had to buy him. They are looking to make a quick profit...... Costa anyone?

    Morning all,

Maybe that's why we reportedly put in a bid for the 15M Serie A striker because Radz knows the fans won't wear it if we sell KP having already sold Pontus and don't bring in a top class replacement.

Personally, I don't think KP goes anywhere and that's pretty much it with no more signings to come. My gut tells me it could be a similar story to last season. We start well with the Bielsa training regime taking effect and then lack of options / injuries start to have an impact on our results. On a positive note, maybe a few more of the youngsters can break through and keep things fresh but that's more in hope than anything else.

    Morning,

The one player I would sign for £9m would be the horrible little twat Chris Gayle. The only problem with that would be he'd want to be top earner so £27k per week would have to be topped up with bonus payments for goals scored etc.

Would anyone like to volunteer to do the Match threads this season?

    Support given if needed!

Any takers for the City game on Sunday?

Sorry, I’ve obviously landed on the wrong board this morning. Reading about spending anything between 9 and 25m. I’ll just pop over to the Leeds forum when I find it

Morning Joohhny, well said. Radz would probably crap himself if the 15m offer were accepted. He'd backtrack quicker than Millwall fan in Leeds on a match day.

Morning Forza, good shout with Gayle. Must admit, I'd go for a centre back.

I do think we need more dimensions to our game.
Either Douglas suddenly improves or we need a specialist free kick taker or long ball thrower. We've seen what Iceland can do with a long throw.
Did you know that the last time we scored from a direct free kick was Boxing Day 2017!

The picture of the breakfast is making me hungry!!
I wouldn't have brown or red sauce though!!
I would always send my eggs back if they were broken as I only eat the yolk.
Lastly, I would want fried bread.
    No beans
    Extra bacon
No black pudding (after I discovered how it was made)
