Not sure if you read it in the news, but Rangers lost their High Court case with Mike Ashley. It's going to cost them big. Under the terms of their expiring contract with him, he was to be allowed to put in a bid for the sale of merchandise, but Rangers prevented this. Doesn't sound much, but the ongoing deal was that Ashley got 93p for every £1 of sales! Rangers fans had boycotted his company, so when the new deal took over, they went mental buying shirts etc. It's unclear what the settlement will be, but Rangers' request to limit it to £1m was rejected by the Judge. It's even been suggested that they could go out of business again. That serious. So Rangers spending £10m? No chance.
Something must have gone wrong, for normally those that are earmarked as drunken troublemakers are kept in their own queue until the tickets are sold out.
