https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49137976 Could this mean that Nketiah will be allowed out on loan?
I suppose it could still be a possibility but I can't see him coming our way any time soon. It makes me wonder whether most, if not all, of the rubbish gossip out there is actually serving a totally different agenda in the overall scheme of things. Squeaky backside time for some managers and unless they already have their ducks in a row there could be some not meeting their clearly stated targets.
Lee Johnson bemoans Bristol City heavy defeat to Crystal Palace but confirms look at young talents Head coach reacts to disappointing return to BS3 https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/lee-johnson-bemoans-bristol-city-3144013 Lot of excuses and reasons there, skip over those, very accecptable as the game was only a friendly and against Premier opposition. What I find a bit cock eyed he is looking at a 17 youngster from Newport to do a deal, not sure if it is through or not because it is in the hands of a secretary of some ilk and a out of contract lower league 1 team right back, when we all know we are desperate for a class striker and midfield player. Should be a first priority, crazy.
Some of the decisions being made seem way off base to me considering what we should be seeking. I know things are getting down to the wire and the kick-off is nigh but surely what we have supposedly been looking for in a striker seems to have left the building.
How do you know it isn't? Should we forget about signing anyone else until we get a striker?. He probably mentioned these two because they are probably done and dusted. He's not going to let anything out of the bag regarding a striker until it's done
For the bet victor prediction of 2nd reinforcements required.People need to realise we have the same squad as last season with the exception of Bentley who is class and Smoggy who is unproven at championship level. Not there yesterday but that 5-0 result is concerning
Things will happen in the next week or so. The Prem clubs are back from their overseas pre-season trips and will be finalising who stays and who goes on loan. I think we will end up with Nekitah before Aug 8th as he wont't play enough at Arsenal this season for his progression to keep pace and Emery knows this, he will be loaned!
Nketiah didn't start, or perhaps more importantly, come on for Lacazette when he went off injured....... Is he bound for BS3????
We need someone and quick,I hope City have something in the bag or goals are going too be a problem once again.
We've needed that same person for years RR and, sad to say, I think we are going through the same scenario yet again. So where does the problem lie, and is it money, destination or something else that seems to make the quest to find a soul mate for Fammy so damned difficult? I sympathise with City having to deal in today's minefield called the transfer window and unless you understand the rules you shouldn't be in the game. I have tried my hardest to stay off the management's back this season and yet here we go again with bold statements and promises that look likely to be just words. Forget the fact that the blowout against Palace yesterday was only a friendly, and really didn't matter, because it was our last real shot at showing our stuff before the real thing arrives in BS3 next Sunday. The after match comments from Lee left me shaking my head in wonder as to why he would say something like it was the perfect time to get a wake-up call and he was confident all the issues would be well fixed in the next week. Like most of you I want Lee and City to succeed but I am starting to wonder how many more transfer windows will that take?
Loan move for Arsenal star hangs in the balance https://the72.co.uk/140203/loan-move-for-arsenal-star-hangs-in-the-balance/
YOU JUST DID... anyway off to hospital now … 3 nights hopefully no more … then 6 weeks recuperation ….
Day 83 What a strange choice?!!!! https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...l-city-nathan-thompson-considered-3146015.amp
I don't see why? A right back on a free from a team who almost got promoted from the division below us last season looks a good bit of business.
There may be no fee, but there will be wages, Does this mean that LJ isn't convinced by Hunt & Vyner, we also have Wright who can play RB, so don't really see the need for this guy tbh, it appears an unnecessary squad filler.
