We've never been impressed with his general play, though. He just pops up with important goals now and again.
That's the worry for me because if he stops getting those goals he's a poor player to have on the pitch. Brewster looks very good though and will be ahead of him soon enough.
I'm not bothered about the Charity Shield, or the Super Cup, tbh. It would be nice to win them, but I won't cry if we don't.
I know there are differences of opinion on this, but I really don't care about the Super Cup. It's just another game we don't need, imo. I'd rather we just got on with winning the games that matter.
Brewster looks sharp, like he intentionally is looking for where the ball might rebound to and gets there ahead of defenders. He's focused and looks like he has a brain on him. Origi looks like he bumbles into the right place at the right time but has no idea how. Kinda like Mr Bean.
Kloppo disagrees Klopp, who was irritated about the game with City being called a friendly, added: "I would like to try to win it - it's a final. "This is the first time I realised that nobody sees it like that, to be honest. 'A curtain-raiser', it's unbelievable."
We have a kid like that, Mason Greenwood. 17 years old and scored 30 goals in 29 games last season, had a couple of half games in our 4 pre-season so far and scored twice. Will be nice to see how he does in real games.
It's not professional to throw yourself into every Mickey Mouse competition no matter what the cost to your chances of winning the big ones. And no professional does that. Andy Murray has said he's going to play doubles for a while longer to avoid screwing himself up. That's professional. They teach this stuff to kids.
Andy Murray has a choice though, we don't. We can't be selective as to which competitions we enter. Throw yourself into them, get criticised. Don't throw yourself into them, get criticised. Only one team has the capacity to throw themselves into every competition with a real chance of winning them all, the rest have to decide which ones are 'worth' winning.
We had tough away draws in both domestic cups and were criticised over the Wolves team selection.....but if we had put more into these comps. would we have ended up with 97 points in the league and European champions?.......maybe not. Like you say jb, there is only one club that can go full gas in all four.
Salah firm, Alison, Keita all start today v Lyon Just Mane to go, prob sit out community shield and Norwich and be back for either super cup or second league game.
