I'd have ploughed them into the ground and dealt/faced the consequences afterwards. My view is simple, you come at me with a weapon or my friends i will defend myself by what ever method is at hand....in this case a vehicle.
I expect he'd have got away with it, too. Even if he wasn't getting paid £350k pw to do **** all, it's self defence. A mediocre lawyer would probably get him off, let alone the team of them that he could afford.
i suppose in a situation like that you don't even think of the legal consequences, you just deal with it and face the shhite after, but I absolutely agree with you, he'd have probably got off. Long as he only did enough to put and keep the guy down, and didn't continually run back and forth over his head for the sake of it.
There was a brilliant case i saw recently, might have been South Africa, where some guys tried to highjack a car, basically the female driver just rammed the fook out of the highjacking vehicle. I will try and see if i can still find the vid.
i'd run anyone over that came at me with a weapon. I'd worry about the consequences afterwards. Simple rule in life, if you live by the sword, there is a damn good chance you will also die by it.
I have been stabbed, the guy was behind me so I didn’t see him coming for me. I didn’t realise at first what had happened as it was so quick (felt like a sharp punch) and I spun round and saw him and the knife. My mate saw what happened and tried to intervene but I stood in front of my mate to ensure he didn’t get stabbed and pushed him towards safety - don’t know why I did that but instinct kicks in
Me and a mate got robbed at knife point by some ****ty little oiks in New Cross back in the day. We'd just jumped off the bus when around 6-8 of the little ****s jumped us and held a knife to my mate's throat. Another one had a blade jabbed into my kidney and they were demanding money (this is pre-mobile phone days). A big part of me wanted to grab the one holding me and smash all of those little ****s faces into the pavement, then thrown them in front of a moving bus, but when you've got a knife in your back you just kind of do what they ask. I was a pretty humiliating experience really, but I suppose better that than bleeding to death on the street.
