I always find the wealthy being generous to be a bit of a joke. proportionally you and i probably give more to some kind of cause.
No doubt it is better than nothing. You also get crap like Children in need which could be covered by one single rich bloke and would be a smaller percentage of his wealth than everyone contributing their own little bit.
Majority of rich people are stingy, I know a very rich man who prefers to spend his money on women than helping those who are close to him.
Every month to every family, to them it is probably a lot. He also built a school, hospital and mosque so pretty generous. If you ask him nicely he may build you a stadium!
I wasn’t decrying his altruism, merely the fact that the meme was bigging up a 70 note monthly donation, from a bloke who makes 100 large per week.

In September 2018, orphans in the African country of Malawi received boxes full of donated Liverpool FC shirts bearing Mane's name. When the Reds star changed squad numbers from No.19 to No.10 months prior, supporters were given the opportunity of a like-for-like exchange of their 2018-19 replica jerseys. In total, more than 250 'Mane 19' shirts were exchanged at LFC stores and then handed to KitAid, who worked with Friends of Mulanje Orphans (FOMO) to help distribute them to underprivileged children in Malawi. "It means they can play, there's the whole thing about inclusion – if they don't have a kit, often they can't play in the league. "We visited many of the 14 FOMO-run Malawi orphan supports centres and handed out kit. They've all got their own teams, the kids are all mad on football, so we just kept handing out kits at every one." The Senegal forward debuted the move after striking in the UEFA Super Cup victory over Chelsea in Istanbul last month. The subsequent post on his official Instagram account drew a tongue-in-cheek response from Firmino, who wrote: ‘Sadio, don’t copy me please.’ However, Mane has confirmed his intentions to stick with the celebration throughout the season.
