Onomah being spotted in the stands at Craven Cottage yesterday could also imply he'll be part of the deal
The bit that surprised me was the offer for Lukan'tshoot which apparently "includes" Dybala as part of the deal. I.e. Dybala plus £10m for a player who is decidedly worse than the player included in the deal. Mind boggling.
Scott Parker had some firm things to say this morning about Sessegnon. Defiant but clearly aware that he has a real struggle on his hands to keep him. My take on that situation is that our plan was always to wait until the closing days of the window before making our move. The lad is going into the final year of his contract and is probably Fulham's most marketable asset after the horror show of last season. They'd be stupid to let him walk for free next summer. He isn't going to slot into the first team immediately anyway so we can afford to be relaxed about it. Aug 6th bid for £15m plus Onomah, GKN and a platter from the Cheese room is my gut feeling.
I don't think we'd do the dirty on Scotty, so I also think he may be staying. LWB becomes an issue for us, though, with Rose at the exit door.
This is screaming out for late hour Levy mischief, even if nothing comes of it (assuming Bale is not being forced to take a pay cut) .
Either Levy has complained he did not get first refusal, or Real's Chairman slapped Zidane down...in my opinion!
Levy has been waiting for the day he can send the following to Perez... please log in to view this image
Of course they did. That a player still in his prime years would deem a move there more appealing than staying and fighting for his place is an embarrassment. That the appeal is down to the chinese club having the means to double his already obscene salary is badly damaging to their brand.
I don’t think we’ll wait that late. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a Spurs player Tuesday/ Wednesday. Gotta feeling we’ll see a lot of movement this week. Not just Spurs but in general.
Tbh parker can not kick off if Sessegnon wants to or he will look like a hypocrite ... he ****ed Charlton off to join Chelsea after they initially refused to sell him.
If Trippier played for Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham, Everton, United etc he would have been booed and jeered during games last season and would have been dlaughtered in radio and tv phone ins...Spurs fans criticised poor performances but (NLD at wembley excluded) firmly remained behind him during his appalling lack of form...imo he owes the courtesy of not giving the media the opportunity to get yet another dig in at us.
I don’t really think too many teams boo their own players these days (apart from as a collective during a very bad result) so I wouldn’t say we’ve shown anything special by not jeering him at a match. He did receive plenty of abuse over social media throughout the season from some of our so called fans though. As for tv/ radio phone ins I never listen to that sort of stuff so can’t comment. Ultimately I don’t see anything in his comments to suggest he’s been disrespectful towards us. He left a great message on his Instagram towards the club and supporters upon his departure, compare that to Janssen who received more support than any **** player I’ve seen and yet he didn’t acknowledge the fans once when he finally left.
All the teams I named have a history on turning on players (on match days) not doing well. West Ham fans have done it nearly continually since there move, united fans were getting on the backs of several of there players last season. Gooners have been given dogs abuse by some of their fans too. Chelsea fans have publically turned on players during games too. Pretty sure Everton fans were less than impressed during the pastfew seasons and made that clear. Liverpool fans have also turned on some players (most memorably during the Hodgson era). My only point is that Trippier was well supported last season when he was continually putting in sub standard performances.
Trippier was continually lauded by people who had obviously not seen his season for Spurs and were just going on a few centres against teams of little quality in the world cup. Like we did with Sissoko, it's in there but maybe A Madrid will draw it out, if they don't they might regret their decision to sign him.
