I deserve a medal. This evening I`ve sat through Louise `trout mouth` Redknapp garbling her way through her latest `hit`. The backing singers looking at her as if they know they should be on the main stage ahead of her. As if it couldn't get any worse, on comes `Arry , with his roly poly ad. Spare me.

How on Earth did you get yourself into such an incident?

…. I blame the wife. She was chucked out of the Gestapo for being too cruel.

Just an “on the off chance” plea.

Anyone know anyone with spare tickets to Silverstone Classic for tomorrow?

My wife’s cousin has sent her boy and his mate over from Ireland to go to the event tomorrow. I picked the boys up from the airport yesterday all excited last night and it turns out there has been an almighty cock up .... nobody bought the tickets!! Someone thought the Uncle was buying the tickets and the two mums thought the other had ordered them. Nightmare.

Tickets no longer in sale and you can’t pay on the day.

Poor lads will be left with two days of excitement with Uncle Fats at this rate.

    :(

Just copied this of their site....could be tickets after all?

However, there will be a limited number of corporate returns available in the Ticket Collections office on each day of the event. Ticket Collections can be found in Car Park 50A, close to the main entrance. Gates open at 07:30 so best to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Elon Musk gets a lot of flak. The odd occasional bit possibly justifiably so. But he's not your ordinary billionaire [yes, I realise how ridiculous that reads]. He does loads of things that are unconventional. One of which is that he's very accessible [he even replied to me once which I wasn't expecting]. One person on Twitter talked about his Enhanced Autopilot Package on his car, and commented that the price was way too high to upgrade to Full Self Driving. So Musk said..

    upload_2019-7-27_12-59-16.png

So today he followed through and it is now half price to upgrade from EAP to FSD across the lineup. I should say it may not necessarily stay there, but it's up to EAP owners to seize the moment if they can.

Why is it that if Spiderman hits a total stranger with a sticky substance , he's called a HERO .

Yet when I do it I get called a pervert ?

Never realised France has a wild coypu population. Saw this female with a brood of 5 little ones swimming around in a lake in Brittany last week. I was probably 6' away from this one when I took the pic and it completely ignored me and carried on doing what coypus do.

I’d love to have seen that. Where in Brittany.

Was digging around for something last night and came across my old Sony DCR PC-105E Handycam. I hadn't even seen it for perhaps 5-6 years. My immediate thought was, 'oh ****, I bet the battery has spewed everywhere'. But it hadn't. In fact, I stuck it on charge and the battery has retained the power and I reviewed some of the footage I've taken over the years [typically, Cornwall - where else?] I've since discovered about a dozen totally unwrapped DAT tapes for it, in a totally different part of the house. Is the little thing telling me something? Nope, just a coincidence [Chilco]. :smiley-finger007:

Here's the little bleeder working just a minute or two ago:

On the correct thread now. Doh!

Do you know that little bleeder is over 16 years old? I think I bought it in 2003 when I had too much money floating around. Amazing that it still works faultlessly, although I did get it serviced about 10 years ago.

Iceland will commemorate something next month with a monument. That something being the Okjökull glacier. A f**king GLACIER. It's gone.

This will be the first monument to a glacier lost to climate change anywhere in the world.

In the worry about not being able to get the boys to Silverstone, I blagged a couple of passes from the wife.

    1. Took them karting at lunchtime.
    2. Scalextric set up in the lounge.
