And as if on cue, Sky are reporting that a move for Dybala is contingent on Eriksen and Rose leaving the club. There is perhaps a flexibility in terms of Eriksen staying but Rose going to Juve as that would help reduce the fee significantly. Any other combination of events seems to lead to one conclusion: Dybala isn't happening. I hate to piss on the net spend bonfire, but we've seen our financial flourish for the year and his name is Tanguy. From here on in, we're in the familiar territory of sell to buy. Strap in lads. This is going to the wire. As usual.
When new WHL has been online for a full season (Spurs and other events) we will know. So set your alarms for April 2021. Meanwhile, IMHO there is at least 170m profit available for transfers this summer (and that is factoring in a possible 50m interest + capital repayment on new WHL also being done) .
Honestly these obscene figures that could potentially be used for transfers! Why are you all doing it to yourselves? You know it’ll end in disappointment
Dybala, I’ll be amazed if it happens. Pleasantly amazed, but still amazed. Lo Celso and Sessegon far more likely, but as has been alluded to, it’s a game of bluff that’ll probably go to the wire.
This is Levy. The money being there does not mean Spurs are going to be turned over on transfer or wage fees. So IMHO the Lo Celso saga is down to add-on clauses + payment T+Cs (for Betis further complicated by the PSG sell-on stuff) , not because the difference in valuation is 20m odd. Dybala is different, and as others have said the initial bid sum seems to be doing a stress test on whether Juventus comply with UEFA FFP after their summer dealings,
I’m convinced Dybala isn’t even a thing. Contact made to leak a story to the press in order to aid the purchase of Lo Celso. All the pieces fit, especially with him being Argentinian, too. Clever plan to b honest. I’d love to know what conversations Lo Celso and Dybala have had in the last 48 hours about the whole thing. You can bet they’ve text one another a few times! In all honesty, is a Dybala worth £80m? 10 goals and 5 assists last season for Juventus. Lo Celso scored 16 and assisted 5 for a weaker team in arguably a stronger league. - and he plays deeper.
Lo Celso signing IMHO would be akin to Eriksen signing in 2013. Eriksen remaining IMHO would be akin to if Modric was still at Spurs in 2013.
Dybala ain't gonna happen we have been burnt before signing strikers for big money when we already had the real thing in harry kane it's now repeating itself with young parrot.
The one thing that makes the most sense about the Dybala links is the fact that Juve have rarely used him as an out-and-out centre forward for the past couple of seasons, preferring to deploy him either as a deep-lying forward or a right winger, as they tend to set up with a target man like Higuain or Mandzukic up front What doesn't make sense, though, is why nobody seems to be thinking that Eriksen and Dybala might be passing one another...
Hugely disappointing that at the end of the day Bale is just about the money https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49134836
Dybala Watch So, yeah, this is about to get convoluted... Sky are reporting that Juve are preparing a cash + Dybala offer for Lukaku Of course, Sky being Sky this is where they end the story - as opposed to the reality of the situation * Juve want to sign Icardi, but Inter won't sell * Inter want to sign Lukaku, but Man Utd won't lower their asking price * So all of a sudden Juve make an offer for a player Inter want, almost as if they're trying to pressure Inter into coughing up and then needing to balance the books by selling them Icardi The one thing that sticks out, though, is their offering Dybala as part of a package to sign Lukaku would strengthen our hand if we were going to bid - because if Man Utd value Lukaku at £75m, Juve themselves are lowering Dybala's asking price with his package
Have you ever seen a player drop wages to move to a lesser club? I'm not even sure wages came into it, clubs just wouldn't pay the asking price for him. it's a bit like us trying to get rid of Sanchez, nobody want's him anymore regardless of wage.
Plenty of players that leave RM take a wage cut, especially if they want to carry on playing at the highest level. If no club wanted to pay what RM demanded for him, he could have forced RM to drop the price else he would stay put, earning his reported 600,000 a week.
If you're RM would you want to pay GB 600,000 per week over the next 3 years (90 million) for just sitting around? Or would you accept 40 million and get him off your wage bill? He could have forced their hand if he was prepared to take a cut.
We are supposed to have enquired (and I imagine others have too) only to be put off by said fee and wages. Price a commodity reasonably and you'll get buyers.
