He was also a MASSIVE fan of these, who I saw at weekend..... Cobain stated that Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee were his favourite writers in the world. Nirvana covered 3 of their tunes, and when Kelly went on to form another band, Captain America, Cobain wore the band t-shirt! He had them on stage with him at Reading in 91, and they've turned up on stage with both Dave Grohl and Chris Novosolic at different times over the years! Eugene Kelly said recently that he's not made a penny from any band he's been in, but his mortgages, and all the tours he's been on have been paid out of the royalties from the three songs Nirvana covered!

I remember seeing that video on the C4 Chart Show program when it came out, and being blown away by it. It was so different to everything that was out at the time - loved it!
