Graham Carey's new team...CSKA Sofia are having a poor season....with a surprise 3-1 defeat at the weekend.....they have changed their manager and Carey was subbed at half-time.....things not going well for Carey at the moment.

He was always going to leave following our relegation last season so don't blame him for moving on and taking the top dollar he could get. But, he isn't one of our's anymore so personally like the rest who have come and gone I'm not bothered how well or badly they do. Don't wish them ill but don't think much about them either.

Just been reading elsewhere that of the starting eleven of our last match of 2018/19 season against Scunthorpe....only Sawyer and Sarcevic are still at PAFC.

The one that surprised me a bit was Songo. Thought he may have stayed to be honest although none of us know what kind of contract was on the table. Disappointed he signed for Scumthorpe though given how the cheating gits were in the last game last season. I can't see them getting much of a reception down here next term and Songo won't be welcomed either because of it maybe. Shame.

Just read that in the Herald. Seems a bit of an easy one. Still "it's not about results" quote, unquote. Am going to the next one against Bristol on Saturday. Not expecting too much but it will be nice to have a little look see at who we have and who might be hot.

If only I could afford a Bentley.... although I don't think I'm enough of a show-off for that.

This is £40k cheaper and a bit less ostentatious:

But I can't afford that either!

You might be able to find a 'matchbox' model still in its box.

The results of the Argyle Annual Fan Survey are out. The thing that jumps out is the age and gender profile of the respondents; 74% over the age of 45 and 50% over 55, and 91% male.

That is of course respondents not attendees at games, where I'd say the gender balance is a lot closer than that but the age profile is visibly grey.

60% go to 10 games or more so there is a large proportion of regular attendees. I suppose that's why the Board are trying to encourage more casual attendees, with the thought that that may bring more women and more youngsters into the fold.

In the meantime, I have my new Flexi membership and the rights there have been further eroded, which is annoying. I can't get early access to buy tickets for cash at all now and with the Flexi now being for only 6 games, that's not going to be enough for me. Hopefully when the grandstand re-opens it will be easier to get decent seats, otherwise I may be buying a 2nd Flexi membership in the New Year.

It is quite starkly noticeable when you sit in the ground how "grey" the attendance is. Or in many cases "bald". Around where I sit there are more over 60's than probably any other age group. It has been said for years now that Argyle's support is an ageing thing and the younger support is lacking largely. Of course when the ageing support first got involved with football and by that their local team the only other means of watching football was Match of the Day. Once a week and late on a Saturday. These days they can have as much football as they want and at a much higher level. Not hard to see why they stay home on a Saturday is it.
