Asian corner shops. They should be supported.mine is ****ing ace. We call him laa laa. Or lar lar. He has so many fridges none of them turned on. You have to be a special customer to have your favourite beer in the fridge that’s turned on.
Loads shut down round here. Too many Tesco express and Sainsbury’s metros. Would much rather spend my cash in a corner shop.
Our local Asian convenience store is now a Nisa, I think. The other a Londis. Same diff though, they're still essentially corner shops.
Mine is a Londis (Sikh family) they sell redstripe. The other a spend and save with lar lar, I ****ing love the man. He is a Pakistani open all hours.
What's the point in convertibles, how hot was it today, about 36 degrees? Saw this couple in one today, what's the point of a hot hairdryer when you can put the roof up and have air conditioning!
I have no issue with the Asian corner shops closing down, don't see what favours they ever did it's customers, generally over priced with stock brought from ASDA. Selling all the under age kids fireworks and cigs, booze. Was quite pleased when the big chains opened up their own mini markets and brought the prices down.
Fair point I remember many years back chatting to an Asian guy who had taken over a local shop. He asked me for a private chat, and wanted to know my thoughts on his business, I was honest...I told him I gave him 6 months....he jumped ship within 6 weeks #TrueStory
