Good Morning. It's Thursday 25th July, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines

La Liga giants Getafe have snapped up highly rated central defender Hugo Diaz.
The 22yo had spent two seasons at Elland Road under Carlos Corberán, and showed great promise. Unfortunately the former Deportivo player was not offered a contract extension, and has now signed with Getafe who finished 5th in the Spanish top tier last term. Will Leeds regret getting rid of so many of their starlets?

Peacock Farrell should go out on loan - Mills

Danny Mills believes that Peacock Farrell needs a loan move if he is to be considered for the No1 jersey.

Is the Northern Ireland International surplus to requirements at Elland Road. What fee would you accept for him?

    Sevilla want Casilla

According to the Spanish media, Sevilla are interested in bringing Casilla back to Spain
The 32-year-old endured a lot of criticism since his arrival in January, especially when it was leaked that the former Real Madrid shot stopper is the top wage earner at £35,000 a week!

The Andalusian club believe Casilla would provide stiff competition to Tomas Vaclik. Would you let Casilla go? If so, does Peacock Farrell deserve another chance between the sticks? If not, who would you like to see wearing the No1 Jersey?

    Morning all..

For me personally, Casilla is overrated and I’d be very pleased if he left, BPF is not ready, I’d like him to remain as understudy to someone better.

Who that is who is available at an affordable fee I have no idea.

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

On the keeper front BPF opened his mouth too soon and Bielsa will not forgive that, so for me he goes out on loan and loses his spot to Miazek (WTF is Huffer)

Simple solution for all this is for Seville to pay us say £3m for Kiko, Burnley pay us £3m for BPF and we buy Tom Heaton for £5m from them. Or we use the money to buy Karl Darlow a keeper Bielsa has been after for months.

Hugo Diaz was the skipper of the U23s and greatly respected by the likes of Edmondson, Kun, Stevens and Co who were all sad to see him go. Under his Captaincy the kids won everything and Diaz played a number of defensive roles but was the 2nd best CB in the group behind Aapo Halme. Ball player, nimble and good distribution and to be fair one I wouldnt have let go. However who am I to see what Bielsa and Corberan see. In a period when we let half a dozen CBs go leaving only Pascal Struijk and White plus Cooper? Wish Diaz all the luck in the world, he loved his time here and was a proud guy with all his trophies and medals from last season.

Still nothing concrete on the tranny front so pointless regurgitating pap until something happens/or not

Still plenty to leave yet but we have until the end of August for that.

We are fielding a second string at Man Cities training complex on Saturday against Girona which means Saiz hopefully gets his leg broke.

Good morning all :emoticon-0157-sun: PHEW :emoticon-0157-sun:
Just wish we were half as hot on the transfer front, as the goalkeeper position really concerns me,as it would seem we have no settled keeper at all atm, this could possibly spell trouble if it's not sorted soon, time is now ticking :emoticon-0158-time: :(

    Morning all.

I do believe we will have a new Keller before the transfer window is closed.
Kiko has never impressed me from day one. While he may be better with his feet than BPF I have seen nothing to convince me that he is a better all round keeper.
I would be happy with BPF as number 1 but think he is on his way. The lack of game time in pre season is a fair sign he is on his way.

I can't see Heaton drop to the Championship. If anyone of the three at Burnley leave it will be Hart. I think Heaton and Pope will battle for the number 1 Spot.

Fraser Forster is a keeper I've always liked and is being kept out at Southampton by Alex McCarthy, a keeper we once had on loan.

Morning all from Europe. Remember that place. I see the summer fiasco transfer continues at full throttle. What’s really amusing is seeing fans on social
Media seemingly happy to see everyone off loaded and nobody come in and then claim we’re better than last season. Couldn’t make some of it up

Me too, a very good keeper, why were not targeting someone like him with the utmost urgency is beyond me,but when ever have we fans been happy with the transfer activity at Leeds, for we seem to target the future with more urgency than the hear & now.:(

Europe ? No don't remember that place, no need for it at all now, as we have the red hot weather here now, just need to get some pools built.

Pontus going was a blow but White came in. We got a fee for Clarke and still have him for the season ahead, we got Harrison back and have signed a very talented Costa.

First team 11 compared to last season we’re down Pontus and up with White and Costa. Is that not slightly stronger?

I have no idea how good or not white is. Harrison and Clarke were here last year when we failed to get up, so hoping for a second season improvement. Costa is a good signing, agree with that. So firmly in the don’t know if we’re stronger camp.

No because we got one unproven defender at this level so thats weaker. I think we need at least four more in. Roofe is out again Ayling the same. So where are we stronger and where is our reserve goalie. Also we have sold and not replaced reserve centre backs so weaker weaker weaker.

Agreed, plus the u23s that broke through last season are now able to establish themselves. We also have u23s breaking through as we speak, and others lining up to do so later. Life is good, overall. Only distraction for me is the 'keeper situation.

Other big plus is the sheer amount of deadwood we've got rid of. It'll free up sufficient funds to deal with any salary squabbles, etc. that might flare up (as it has with Roofe & Phillips). Not to mention having funds for any January signings we might require.

Only place you are stronger is in Rads back pocket,
Brum 9 points deducted have made 2 decent signings and have had a 6m bid for a player accepted so all your excuses about fair play seem a little shabby now <ok>

how the fook they are doing it idk <yikes>
