Just demonstrates what a dickhead he is. Fact remains we vote for a party to represent us at local level. If enough can join together (from 1 party or a coalition) they can then form a Govt. We don't have a Presidential system.

Then he'll be voted down or run away to the Country for an Election. I can see one coming quite soon.

Yes, I know. But he already has a lot of Executive power as PM. He should have to prove he has majority support before being given that.

And the leader of the party which gains the most MPs at an election becomes Prime Minister

Claiming that people vote for the MP and not the party is laughable in this day and age, with Zac Goldsmith losing 10,000 votes (and his seat) overnight when he stood as an Independent rather than wear the Tory rosette

The blame is firmly laid on the shoulders of Cameron + May.

He probably could have got the exit done reasonably well with the majority he had.
As for citizen May, well all history will ask is whether she demolished
that majority in 2017 due to moron hubris or by nefarious design.

I was looking at house/flat prices in Tottenham. Wow. They've let prices skyrocket. Must be getting fantastic wages to live there now.
Our whole family, uncles, aunts, grandparents and us lived over a boot shop in Lordship Lane.We had one room as a bedroom/living room, sharing a toilet and kitchen
(in the fourties). We got lucky and mum, stepdad, sister and me moved to a flat in Scales Road (1950). Later,in 1964,because stepdad had the start of cancer,we got a rental house in Russells Ride,Cheshunt.
The house we live in here in Lexington, cost us $274,000 two years ago. 3bedrooms,2 1/2 bathrooms, living room,1 1/2 dining rooms, kitchen, washroom room, small extra bedroom if needed, garage (2 cars),nice garden with trees and large front garden.Plus 2 air condition units, one in attic and one in crawlspace.A very nice area too!
Funny thing. One place I had no intention of visiting....USA. So one day,I take a trip as a tourist to Russia. They put the Brits in with the Yanks....and the wife has been blaming the Russians ever since. (She's from Harlan,Kentucky. ) Bloody Harlan that called it because of the killings between mine owners and union men!

Enough about me. How's your day going?

The last property to be sold in Scales Road (according to Rightmove) went for £425,000 in March, Smithy.
Might have been the one you lived in! <laugh> Number 41.

Once you move away from London, it is very difficult to go back. £425k gets you a nice semi detached place in Medway, and if you travel further from London, probably some quite nice homes. £425k for an inner city terraced house is ludicrous.

You could also use the money to buy Burnley or Sunderland. Not the clubs. The whole area.

The Tories look set to give back the £3.5m the EU gave them in 2013 to combat child poverty, having not bothered to spend a penny of it

It appears that Jacob Rees-Mogg lecturing his subordinates about addressing him with the correct title and proper grammar is far more important...

I've started reading a book by Robin Prior titled " When BritainSaved The West: The story of 1940".
    Very true.

Now it is the Americans Democrat Party to save the West. They have a choice.Impeach Trump now (and maybe McConnell) and save the West...or ignore that and just concentrate on the coming election and saving their seats.

It has been proved that Russia were involved in the 2016 American election. The Dems have put forward a plan to derail the Russians in 2020 but Moscow Mitch has ignored it and(maybe) wants the Russians to interfere again...….and next time the Iranians, the N.Koreans and the Chinese can join in too!

Oh the cost of freedom! Democracy or dictatorship? Choose America...…...while,meanwhile in Britain, named Boris, rubbing his hands at more total chaos.....

The first part of the visit wasn't any more successful. Nicola Sturgeon hardly greeted him with pleasure and he didn't seem to want to hang around for pics.
