I reckon Chelsea outside the top 2 have the best midfield in Jorginho, Kante and Kovacic. Their attack if Lamps does it right with Abraham, Pulisic and Hudson Odoi is also very good. It's better than Spurs and United's. Chelsea also have a better defence than United and Arsenal. Kepa is a better keeper than Lloris. The defences are overall similar. Bayern don't have the same squad as last year and made adjustments.
1) City way ahead of anyone 2) Chelsea 3) Liverpool 4) United distant 4th As for cups, impossible to say. We will probably reach at least the knockouts for Champions League. I predict overall to have a fairly tame season, not a great one but a decentish one. I can't see us going another whole season without a period of injury crisis and we've got no more depth. Honestly, I see us having a bit of a hangover from last season. Our preseason games have shown we're not really back in the swing of things yet and I imagine City will have a sizable lead by the time we get things moving.
What is it with Chelsea? They've been dragged along with Hazard for the last 2 years. He's gone. They've got no strikers other than Giroud- Doesn't score enough. Odi is still young and Pulisic is untested. I don't rate their midfield three. Kovacic is poor and Jorginho is slow. Only Kante is WC. Their defence is laughable and the Keeper is inconsistent. Not to mention Lampard is a relatively untested manager, One season in the Championship with one of the better teams and plenty of Prem connections for youth loans (not going to help) I see them finishing outside the top4, maybe even being over taken by Wolves.
They were best of the rest last year. Arsenal, Spurs, and United all relatively weak at the moment. My putting them above us is more that I'm expecting us to have a hangover year than I think Chelsea have made massive strides forward.
To be seen. From my experience it seems that when teams lose a talisman player they frequently get better despite logic predicting otherwise. Reference us losing Owen, Gerrard, Suarez, Coutinho. Also looking at our history we always do badly after a title run, with players getting back so late, little depth, etc, I expect a difficult year. I do think we're the best first XI when everyone is in form (although City clearly better in depth). We're certainly a better team than Chelsea and I can't see us dropping so low to be out of Champions League spots... But I think it unlikely we will have another title run given our past history and experiences.
Its us and Citeh to fight it out, there's no one else even close. Spurs will make top 4 again but as for the rest of 'em...........meh
The only player we have 'coming back late ' is Sadio Mane, he returns to training on August 5th. Secondly our start to the season isn't too bad with Arsenal at home in the first 5. That's the only one of the big 6. We certainly don't need Mane at home to Norwich. In fact it wouldn't be catastrophic if he missed Southampton either. The Super Cup game on August 14th will be one of those when we can use the squad to ensure we're okay for Southampton away. I still think Chelsea are the best outfit outside the top 2.
I think Spurs are above Chelsea but don't see anyone else better better than the Chav ****s. Especially now Hazard as gone #betterteamwithouthim

They might run around a bit more and defend a bit better as a team and pass to each other more... but they’ve lost the guy that opens up defences, scores all their goals and poses a threat to opposition. They’re toothless up top now. I know you hate hazard and don’t rate him at all but chelsea are much worse without him than with.
Much in the same way Madrid has to alter their tactics to get best out of ronaldo, everyone has to compromise their on play to accommodate him. But he’s head and shoulders above anyone else that you do that to get the best results. Take ronaldo out of Madrid and no where near the same despite now maybe having a team that work harder. That okd arguement of talent v work rate. Need both sure, but you can only get so far with work rate. You need WC talent to get to that next level
I don't hate Hazard, I think he's a lazy prick but then I also think quite a few players are lazy pricks but rate them... Berbatov is my regular go to example; great player on the ball but would be no where near my team. Everyone was concerned when we lost coutinho because we were losing our midfield creativity. We went more industrial, played more as a team and became harder to beat. Aka; a better team! Will Chelsea do better without him? Only time will tell, they need to replace his goals and assists somehow. But in my opinion that they will be a better team without having to carry a player for ninety minutes. If Pulisic can hit the ground running, he'll be a better team player than Hazard. #teamgame
Maybe.... but whose going to score their goals? Yes we thought that about cout but he wasn’t a goal scorer. We adapted to a different way of playing. Chelsea will need to do that but at same time, still need someone to put the ball in the net.
